Dentists

Today I went to Goodwin Family Dentistry, knowing I might have broken a tooth. I, too, was due for a cleaning, so I decided to get everything done in one fell swoop. I went in with very high expectations. My previous dentist was Dr. Bruce Tandy. If you check him out he is highly rated in the state, however he recently retired. I am a creature of habit, I must be comfortable with you, to be able to work in my mouth. I find it's harder to find a good dentist. Dr. Goodwin, did not disappoint. I felt very at ease. As I had thought I DID break my tooth, but what I didn't expect, was that I had broken 2 teeth. Dr. Goodwin showed me both of the teeth and where there they were broken. Then he went to work. Throughout the procedure he explained what was going on, etc. He then, noticed why I had broken my teeth. It was due to another tooth and how it sits when I bite down. He explained that it would keep breaking my teeth if it wasn't taken care of and immediately rectified the situation. I love my teeth and I would like to keep them in as good a health as possible. His staff was very friendly and I feel they are more "down to earth" people. It's much easier to be relaxed when the people working in your mouth are not pretentious or judging, etc in many ways. I highly recommend, you give the office a try. I found my new dentist and I will continue to go there until he retires.

Dr. Goodwin and his staff have come to my rescue many times. From a cracked tooth to a cavity or a crown... The professionalism, education and caring exhibited by this warm, genuine group of people is the reason I drive 25 miles one way, past dozens of dentists to Dr goodwin and his staff. I'm a tough reviewer. (just look at my yelp account) so when I share this kind of review... These guys are over the top awesome. I would go no where else. So if your thinking about a new dentist, you gotta' give these people a try. Seriously, lol they are really that good. And really good people too.

What an awesome experience. I scheduled an appointment due to some minor discomfort which resulted in replacement of a crown. To my surprise, it was completed within my 2 hour visit. Dr. Katzoff and staff are friendly, fun and knowledgeable!!!!

I was acknowledged by name. Everyone was nice and friendly. I love Shannon, the hygienist. She is knowledgeable and efficient. A very good experience. Nearly pain free and quick, a good combination in a dental appointment!

After 3 months and 5 visits I still did not receive the tmj eval - I was told by his secretary that I would get it in a timely fashion also he refused to return a panorex X-ray that I paid a different dentist 100 dollars to do and that I brought to him to view also he wanted me to see as a consult an oral surgeon (cost 165) yet would not tell me the reason for that consult it all was a frustrating experience. And will never go there again. Wasted a lot of my time

My wife, my two young boys, and I have been going to Able Dental for almost a decade, and we've never had a single bad experience. I've found their hygienists to be very friendly and capable, and Dr. Chris is exceptional. I know going to the dentist is nothing exciting, so I won't blow anything out of proportion, but I've had a few cavities filled -- in addition to regular dental checkups -- and everything has always gone very smoothly. The staff is also very gentle and patient with my boys, which is important because they are very nervous about doctors' offices and things of that nature. I would highly recommend Dr. Chris and Able dental to anyone looking for a family-friendly dentist.

Whenever I have an appointment with Dental Designs the check in process is really quick. They have me in to see the doctor fast.

Best dentist ever. He saved 3 of my teeth, one which was scheduled to be pulled, an incident which happened when he was on vacation. Top notch Dentist, ultimate care. Clean office and chairs. His staff however needs to be fired. A year ago I wanted a tooth crowned because it split. The staff submitted for pre authorization. Jody suggested I just come in and get it done but I waited for the 'yes' from my ins provider. after a long story and 8 months it was declined for the 3rd time. The ins rep insisted in bewilderment as to why they cant just follow the one page punch list of info they needed to approve. During that time I had a scheduled cleaning. At the desk one of the receptionists said "im not sure why they are taking so long." So, jokingly I said "because they are democrats?" ..not only did she think that was NOT funny but the look I got was of anger. Woops. That's where the whole thing blew out of proportion. The doctor has NO idea what transpired with his team. 2 more declines all the while my doctor literally fought for my cause, as he does for all his patients. SO, long story short(er) my last visit they had it out for me. Just prior to sitting in the chair I had to sign something (no I didn't read it,) but signed it. In the chair with the water jet tool suddenly she cranked it SO high I though my ear was going to bleed. After the cleaning I went to the reception desk in a pure daze. I couldn't here anything but a screeching. She apologized. Never happened before at any dentist office. 2 months later and 2 dr visits I am getting a lawyer. I am suing them to the hilt. My ear will never be the same, headaches, terrible. They made it quite clear they were no happy with me. But instead of communicating they did a few stupid things. The entire story will come out in court. If you are a conservative, don't ever mention it. I have another apt with a specialist to confirm with 2 doctors my ear is SO screwed up. My eardrum is a mess and the hairs in the inside of my right ear have vanished. THATS the decibel she hit for 5 full seconds. All this will come out in court, all intentions will come to light of a judge so he can decide what to do. Jessica was the very best in cleaning my teeth. Very friendly but the three of them are vengeful. I want my hearing back in that ear. As a part time musician and a flute maker needing to tune my instruments for sale is now a memory. Congrats to them for hammering a conservative, how mature. I will update as we go to court. I am composing my letter to the BBB, the attorney general and the health dept as my attorney has suggested in preparation for litigation. How sad. How very sad.

Dr. Sheffield and his daughter, Dr. White, are amazing dentists. Super friendly and they do awesome work. Friendly and helpful staff.

Dr. White stayed late on a Saturday to see me for a dental emergency. I'm so thankful and had to spread the word about this office. Patient oriented office with friendly staff

I drive 50 minutes just to see Dr. Sheffield and Dr. White. Best dental experience I've ever had. The hygienists give the best cleanings, the docs do fantastic work, and the staff is helpful and friendly. I want to recommend this office to all.

This office represents the reason I've been afraid of the dentist all my life. This office scared and hurt. Really hurt my daughter.

This group sucks very rude they messed up my teeth and I called them to let them know I was told that my insurance is only taken on certain days secratary was very rude told me I could go some where else I would never go back I've had husky for a long time and went to the closes office which is norwich they told me the only way I can be seen with my type of insurance is in east Lyme ct which I don't have a way to get there they messed my mouth up now they won't correct it I'm seeking an attorney for messing my teeth up

I have been a patient of Dr. Yates at Norwich Aesthetic Dentistry for about a year. My experience up until today had been for cleanings. When I found out I needed a crown I was initially a bit apprehensive. I don't know why I was worried. Dr. Yates and his assistant Valerie were fabulous. Dr. Yates really took the time to look at the tooth that needed work and expertly fashioned an impressive crown. He was meticulous in its crafting as well as its fitting and made sure that my bite felt as natural as it had always felt. I walked out of the office feeling like a million bucks. There is no bull when it comes to Norwich Aesthetic Dentistry. No hard sell for anything. Great Experience!
