Chris was my dentist before he moved to Hawaii. It was a little town called Forrestville, in California. He was just starting his practice and was taking over from my previous dentist whom I really liked. Chris was great from the time he first started his practice there. I wish he would come back because I've had some bad experiences since his departure.

Dr. Botros is amazing. She is patient, sweet, and totally meant to work with kids. My kids are 1, 3, and 10 and she is on a whole new level of dentistry with how she interacts with my kids, and makes it fun (as well as understanding what's happening) at the same time. Impressed doesn't even sum it up with how happy I've been with their visits.

I have been going to Dr. Yamaguma for a few years but no more!. Every time it seemed as though there was some sort of complication. The temporary crown kept coming off, then the replacement tooth cracked within a month. I went back for him to fix his mistakes and then he drilled a hole through my tongue!!! I couldn't believe it.
Avoid this dentist at all costs! I've seen him mistreat his staff he is just plain cold, no personality. The only good thing about his practice is his receptionist Cathy. She almost makes up for the lack of dentistry skills by Dr. Yamaguma.

I highly recommend Dr. Mike and Dr. Allan Miyamoto and their staff for professionalism and excellence in dentistry and for their thoughtful and caring approach to their patients. The cleanings by Anna and Sarah and the other hygienists are thorough and gentle. They go beyond just the cleaning and take time to notice any changes and remove any new stains. The Drs. and staff are skilled and efficient, they continue to learn new techniques through educational workshops and conferences each year. If I ever moved back to the mainland, I would fly back to Maui to have my dental checkups with Miyamoto Dental Design. I have been a patient there for 6 years, and I can wholeheartedly say that the Miyamoto dental practice is the best a person could hope to find. I am grateful that they are here on maui.

I foolishly went to a dentist closer to my home and found out that Dr. Shirota is less expensive and doesn't do anything that doesn't need to be done. You can count on him to tell you the truth, do really great work and not to try and "up sell" you stuff.
I completely trust him and the work he's done over the years on my crumbling teeth is first rate and lasts. When you find and honest and really good dentist you trust, you gotta stick with them.
I compared and I found out I already had the best in quality, in being really good at not hurting me and at being nice and honest.

All the work I've had done by other dentists fell out within 5 years. The work Dr. Hubert does lasts for the rest of your life most likely. He's not fast or cheap, but the quality of work he does is the best.
