Distillery

I can't say enough about this little distillery. The people are super friendly and every single thing we tried, everyone in the entire group liked. Their flavored vodkas are amazing. Their straight vodka is on par or better than any of the big name brands and their whisky is super smooth. Even our non-whiskey drinker commented that they could easily drink it. Place has a great vibe and the bar tenders are amazing. We will be regulars going forward every time we are down.

Best place downtown to have a drink and mingle with friends. This place is low key and everyone is always so friendly when we come here. Definitely one of my favorite places in Wilmington. They have a great outside area where you can sit and chat. The restrooms are clean with plenty of products! Would highly recommend Cape Fear Wine & Beer if you are in the Wilmington area!!!

Awesome place to buy just about any type of wine you could want. They also sell white port which we enjoy. Excellent place to buy alcoholic gifts for special occasions as well. Prices are great and they normally give discounts if you buy wine by the case.

I remember walking into City Beverage the first time and being totally overwhelmed by the selection. I think the selection deserves them at least 4 stars on its own. After a few times of going, I thought I'd try to make conversation with the owner, which didn't turn out as friendly as I'd hoped. However, I went back many times and was given excellent service by the owner's son and their other employee. Since then I have gotten to know the owner a little and have found him to be very nice (edit: the owner passed away and left the store with his son). The prices are consistent with other local wine/beer stores, which is a little high, but not enough to complain about. Other reasons I give them 5 stars: (1) The store is always well stocked, very organized and clean, and it has a great atmosphere. (2) They offer home-brewing supplies and classes on occasion. (3) Eight selections are on tap. (4) They offer awesome discounts on slow moving cases.

Bartender was legit and knowledgeable on those rums.

Williquors not only has the best selection I've ever seen at a liquor store, they also have the best prices. They are also very good partners with the community. I am so grateful for their willingness to donate to charitable causes and help make a difference in the lives of those in need. I decided to give these guys another chance after a previous negative experience (one star review), mainly because there are not too many option for NA beer at the other stores in town. Their selection goes beyond the traditional brands and even encompasses a few semi-local options; a few steps above the competition. Additionally, the acknowledgment of my previous negative review and bad experience being addressed by management was good to hear - thanks for that guys!

Always friendly staff with good drink knowledge

I just have to stop here any time that I am in the FM area. They have everything ! After living in CA for so many years, I have cravings for some off the wall wineries. And I have found them all at Happy Harry's. My local liquor stores don't carry these wines. The staff is always friendly and informative. The parking is plentiful too.
