The staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. My breakfasts left a lot to be desired- porridge took an age to be provided and then wasn't very palatable. Room was clean and it was good to have a fridge for our own items. Ideal location for a tourist!

Clean and good location, but not worth the money

This would be a nice place to stay except for ....Appalling mattresses, really they need to change them, I couldn't sleep properly. That and the bathroom... I could hardly seat on the toilet, so narrow a space it was... And paper walls... Pity cause it's very conveniently located and the receptionist was very kind

Room was clean, and facilities are well maintained. The hotel is very close to great restaurants, and the underground station. Be sure to grab a bite to eat at 49 cafe! It's less than a block away.

The staff where generally nice and one was particularly helpful. Room was tiny, but not uncomfortable. The biggest complaint is wifi. That was incredibly frustrating to deal with especially if you have work and emails to send to those you are working for and with. Therefore, if you are also doing some work while on vacation do not use this hotel. Wifi was hardly working in my room when it is needed very frustrating. Otherwise use it.

Very nice room for the price. Location is good being just a short sheltered walk from the train/tube station. The only breakfast that is available is a limited continental breakfast, this is the only reason I gave it four stars. Would definitely stay here again and recommend

Very responsive staffs, good quality breakfasts. It's wooden floors sometimes make sound, probably guests reside in ground floor feel a bit disturbance.

Very conveniently located for public transportation. The room and hotel were small. The room being small was fine because we didn't spend much time in it. The hotel was small which was also okay except there tended to be stuff left on the steps and landing that you had to navigate around. If you want ice don't ask at breakfast time because they won't have any. They also say they can only give ice to two guests at a time because that's all the machine can handle.

Stayed here for a week and was nothing more than a comfortable bed to rest the legs. Unfortunately not very clean, very small/cramp (this is off the back of a trip to Japan) and fraught with problems. Our first room had a foul smell due to its below road location and apparent flooding days before. After the room change the new ones sink and shower was clogged and didn't drain well. Gave 1 star for the great location (not far from Victoria station which has a mix of just about all lines in London) and 1 star for service as they owners did fix what problems we encountered.

Single room for two people is very small (the bed barely fits in the room. Shower is tiny. Breakfast was good. Staff very friendly. Location is good. Little outdated. No room in the room. Small room.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Employees were always very helpful and always greeted you with a smile. Proximity to the tube made traveling easy. Definitely would recommend.

I stayed here only one night but I wish it was for more. The location could not have been any better. We spent the day walking around to all the sights in the area. The rooms view of big Ben was great (however it was covered in scaffolding when I stayed) and we could see the London Eye rotate in front of the window. Staff was accommodating and very kind. A+

I can't fault this place at all. Fantastic hotel with fantastic service. Easily accessible from many London train stations. Features in the hotel are sophisticated. Ideal place for various events. I was there for an MBA event.

Perfectly acceptable city centre hotel. Rooms are a bit quirky and small because of odd shaped building. Continental breakfast was a bit lacking but was cheap so get what you pay for. Great burgers at Steam Engine just around the corner.

Tricky to find. Small rooms but cozy

Easy walk to Blue Fin. Staff was very nice. Hotel was quiet - never heard a sound from outside my room - no elevator noise or banging and there were plenty of people around to hear! Nice and authentic chinese restaurant directly scross street for a quick bite. Nearby convenience stores.

This is a statement in accommodation in East London. The vibe here is beyond vibrant. The hotel offers great connubial spaces with a long that has a tech desk where you can work on your laptop, a coffee corner and a hippie bar. The cocktails are super tasty and fabulous. The atmosphere is so easy and relaxed and generally the hotel is welcoming even for non residents.nice

Super friendly staff, large and quiet rooms

A great place to stay in the center of London without spending a fortune. Good breakfast, decent WiFi, shower & air-condition are top. Aldgate station is around the corner, taking you almost anywhere to the inner city within 30 minutes.
