I started kendo in middle school. I wasn't good at school sports. I never excelled in them. I also didn't have a very close group of friends. I liked staying at home and doing things by myself. Spokane Kendo Club taught me kendo in a step-by-step way that anyone can learn. I learned from my kendo teachers that even a non-athletic and introverted kid can develop strength and confidence both socially and on the training floor. Today, I want to show kids like myself that they too can make meaningful friendships and achieve in what they want to do. That's one of the reasons why I'm still training at Spokane Kendo after 9+ years.

I was a student for almost 3 years. They really know their stuff here, and they teach it exceedingly well.

Best workout and skills training classes ever!! So much fun. They even modify drills for me as I recover from a hand injury.

Sensei has been a long time friend of my dad's and a great teacher. His classes are not only fun but educational.

Steve is an amazing instructor. His knowledge of Chinese culture is freely shared.

Great people and wonderful set up
