Place is terrible, the teacher is disrespectful and tried to to tell me how to act with my brother. He got into a very personal matter and was rude about it

Excellent Sensei and karate program. Both of my kids have been enrolled for a couple of years. Strong emphasis on self defense. And very reasonable price for enrollment. Highly recommend!

I love the environment and the instruction is top notch. Kru Rick takes pride in each and every student. I recommend this school to anyone who wants to learn to the most advanced Muay Thai fighter.

If you want to learn, do it here. These guys pay their bills with jiujitsu competitions. They aren't something by day and black belts by night. This is all they do and it shows. Amazing teachers with amazing ways to break down everything so that everyone can understand. Everyone here is amazing and really nice. The monthly price to learn from some of the BEST belt belts in the game is really good. I can't say enough good things about this place. Come in and try it for free and see for yourself.

Sifu Eddie Chong and the senior students are incredible they're extremely knowledgeable and great at what they do and they also have accepted me as one of their own so it feels nice the only thing that sucks is the drive there from Woodland but I feel it's kinda worth it

My son has been attending Jacob Flame's Tang Soo Do University for over a year and we absolutely love it! Master and Mrs. Flame are great teachers, especially with the little kids! The classes are always fun and energizing and the kids are learning more than just karate. They learn self control, confidence, and discipline all while having a great time!!!!

Kurt Lampson the Karate teacher of Malibu Martial Arts is the best of the best. I worked with him from the ages of 4 to 14 years old. From a technical perspective I learned to control my body and my mind in a way that helped me reach my ultimate goal of becoming a professional soccer player. I am a master at what I do and the skill set I earned under Lampson is a main reason I can run, jump, and change direction in the way I do. More importantly Kurt Lampson teaches his students a mind set. He teaches the importance of ethics, hard work, discipline, and that if you put your mind towards a goal it can be achieved. He gave me the belief when many of my own soccer coaches told me I would never play college soccer let alone become a professional. Kurt is a wonderful person. He is personable, loving, patient, empathetic, and wise. He is not just my former Karate teacher, but is a true friend who I trust my life with. As I overcome obstacles in life I know I can talk to Kurt and he would give me the exact advice I need. When you work with Kurt you are not just learning Karate you are fulfilling your potential as a human. Kurt worked with both of my brothers as well. He has been working with my youngest brother, Noah for 12 years and counting. Noah is confident, fit, strong, and ready to take on any challenge in large part because of Kurt Lampson. I am grateful everyday that Kurt Lampson has been not just part of my life, but part of my families life.

Have you dreamed of being a ninja? This is the place. The instructors at Newbury Park Martial Arts Center are fantastic with both depth and breadth of knowledge, experience and talent. The dojo is a very welcoming, positive and engaging environment. On the surface, the To-Shin Do style of martial arts is practical self-defense. I've learned how to defend against real attacks without any rules that might occur on the street. At a much deeper level, practicing at the dojo been an opportunity for me to learn more about myself and develop practical skills and tools to help me live more powerfully in the world. I am grateful for the opportunity to train here.

My son really enjoys attending ATA Martial Arts. So far, it has given him joy and more confidence. Mr. Jung and his staff are very friendly and nurturing, teaching the kids not only martial arts, but respect towards others. In addition, I liked that there was a self defense class the other day for members and siblings as well.

Kru Ken is the best person to get you in shape. Extremely knowledgeable in every spec of the game. Really friendly person and a great Muay Thai Master. Don't go anywhere else.

Our children are students at the American Academy of Self Defense. Sifu Rick is an excellent teacher and role model. Our children are learning self defense in a safe and caring environment. They are learning positive values such as respect, hard work and discipline. As a result, they are developing self confidence which has benefited them in school and at home. I highly recommend the American Academy of Self Defense.

My son has been going to Kovar's for about a year now. I really can not recommend it enough. I may sign up for the adult class as well.
