Martial Arts

Google asks me to describe my experience at Kang's Tae Kwon Do Academy. That is not easily done in one paragraph. Tae Kwon Do has become my life. It is my journey, my passion. I started at a branch of this school then located in Belpre, OH. I found it in the yellow pages. Thank goodness because I couldn't have had a better experience anywhere else. Just by chance this was the first school I tried and I didn't need to look any further. As an awkward, out of place, adolescent, they gave me everything I needed and more. I gained acceptance and they gained my trust. I gained friends and self confidence. They helped me discover myself. They gave me something to be proud of and a place to belong. I started almost two decades ago and couldn't imagine my life without it. They are very focused carrying on the Korean traditions of discipline, etiquette, loyalty, and rank system. The physical teachings are above and beyond. The level of excellence is prevalent. They are understanding of each individuals abilities and work to help everyone fill their true potential. Grand Master Kang is a strong leader with a clear vision and of the highest caliber of human beings. To train in his academy is to be a part of something greater than yourself. A school that allows you to learn Tae Kwon Do from a true traditional Korean Grand Master is not something easily found in today's market.

I love this place. Wonderful place for families and kids that want to learn Martial arts. Wonderful staff..greatest dojo ever.

A remarkable martial arts training center! I moved from Las Vegas and LA and was pleasantly surprised that West Virginia has such a great, high level center run by very skilled and talented people. This is a great way for people of all ages to get in shape and acquire the skills they need to defend themselves and those they care about. Dr. Life

I knew I was going to be in Charleston for the night for work so I called and asked if I could drop in and they told me of course stop on by. Very nice facility, very clean and very welcoming. I travel to Charleston several times a year and from now on this is where I will be training when I am in town.

I was wandering if you have any clothes with your cobra martial arts logo on it. Because I would love to have some, if not I can make some.

In depth training and a lot of attention to detail on the techniques. Everyone is really nice and respectful here. Great space to train, lots of room!

A wonderful learning experience for all ages. A caring, receptive sensei to children and adults, no matter their age or ability. Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn self defense, or in search of a unique way to get and stay in shape.

I have been taking classes at White Eagle for about a year now and have learned a lot about martial arts. I have also learned many other practical skills for life and have enjoyed every minute of it. I am eager to learn more!
