Maximum Martial Arts
313 N State St, Marion, Ohio, 43302, United States
This school has everything--a kids' class with belt ranks, a fitness class that does martial arts to music, and an adult class that trains MMA cage fighters. I've been going to the adult class for two years and the training is phenomenal. The owner/instructor really pushes his students and has extensive knowledge and experience in Tae Kwon Do, MMA, Jiu Jitsu, and Kickboxing.

Lehigh Valley Warrior Arts

After visiting school after school and becoming very disenfranchised with the entire process of joining a Martial Art, I happened upon Lehigh Valley Warrior Arts in Northampton, PA. Unlike so many other schools I have been to, the teachers seemed more interested in the learning aspect, and not on the MONEY aspect. No contracts, and more importantly, they do not pressure you. They are confident enough in what they offer that they don't need to treat you like a dollar sign. The art they teach is very impressive, and concentrates on real-world application. As a parent and a school teacher, I am extremely impressed.

I've been attending Albany Jeet Kune Do since 2011. Despite studying CS and math in college (and taking sword classes more recently), Albany JKD is the only class that has ever challenged me. There is so much to learn that I wind up taking copious notes and practicing regularly outside of class, just so that I won't forget half of it. (Though please note that more casual students still get a lot out of the class, and enjoy it. Everyone learns at their own pace.) I appreciate the way sifu Steve pushes me, and feel like I am getting an amazing value in learning for the time and money spent. Sifu Steve and the people whom he has trained to be instructors are great martial artists, and also really good people, who care about their students' learning and well being. The art itself is extremely practical: I feel that it is less about fighting than it is about ending a fight. Jeet Kune Do is for personal safety, and so never sacrifices efficiency for showmanship or sport. If you're interested, come on down and see for yourself, because it's friggin' awesome.

I have been with NextStep Martial Arts for a year now! I have benefitted highly from walking in those doors for the first time not knowing what to expect for the 3 day trials in January 2016!
Besides it helping me with my major weightloss{115 pounds} I have learned so much about myself as well as others.. The lessons learned in the class and from Master Jay and his instructors are immeasurable and reach many aspects of my life.
Just like the kids learn tools to help them in school and with peers...it does the same for adults. I have learned not to compare myself and how fast I learn to others. And you can apply that to your life and business. Its ok if your the turtle at times, you still get to the finish line!
