I expected the typical karate class, a lot of time learning how to stand, how to throw a punch, how to yell "Yes Sensei!" What I found was immediate instruction on how to defend against punches, how to roll out of a fall, etc. But what I really appreciated was the personal insight on why these moves were developed in ancient times and how it relates to present day defensive fighting. If you are looking to learn Martial Arts then you should definitely have a look at this Dojo.

I have now trained two years here, and it is by far one of the best places to train. Professor Fresh, Sensei Rick, and Kory always make everyone feel welcome. They are very good with all levels of Jiu Jitsu. Unlike most black belts Professor Fresh will work with everyone in the club no matter their rank or skill level. I recommend anyone serious about learning jiu jitsu to come train here. They have kids classes to for kids younger than 16 also.

This has probably been the single best thing I have done for myself. Joining this gym is helping me relieve stress and feel better about myself at the end of the day. All the coaches are amazing and they really make sure that you are okay. I feel safe and I feel like I can really learn from everyone.
