Painters

Knowledgeable and very helpful

Great customer service

dont call them

I have not actually used this man's services but have a bit of knowledge about him. Some family members of mine bought his home almost two years ago. Since the closing, the sheriff's office has come by their house 4-5 times per year trying to serve him with different lawsuits for unfinished work and warrant for a court date for another issue. One very elderly couple actually came to the house after the sheriff was unable to serve because they were sure that whoever was at the home was covering for Martin Bougus (the owner of this business). Apparently, in their case, they paid him for a large job up front and he never showed up again and never returned any calls. So they called the police and eventually filed a civil action. For them it was a devastating financial loss. Martin Bougus and Paradise Painting continue to use his old address for business purposes, perhaps so the police and courts can't find him? Who knows. If you do hire him, don't pay him a penny until he is finished with the work. And read other reviews. If he tells you he's still at Fairway Drive, tell you know that he's not and demand a proof of address.

Results don't lie. If you want meticulous craftsmanship, people who take pride in their work, you won't find anyone better than Matt and Nancy. In the interest of full disclosure, I have been a good friend of theirs for twenty five years +, and have worked with Matt as a professional drywaller, my trade for 40 years. I have seen firsthand the incredible attention to detail, and consistency of product, Matt brings to all his endeavors. If you want your home to look it's best, inside and out, you can't beat this team. Nancy's artwork, be it paintings, sculptures, faux finishes, or furniture, is exquisite. They each have a wonderful sense of color, and work tirelessly to ensure that the color scheme chosen for your home will accent and highlight your furnishings and artwork. When I decided to have my Mother's bedroom furniture refinished, which I inherited two years ago, for obvious, sentimental reasons, it had to be right. I sought Nancy's help, and didn't bother talking with anyone else...I didn't have to. Nancy's efforts proved me right. I could not be more delighted. She also faux finished the 1x4 poplar trim which I used on a set of solid teak French doors, intricately simulating the grains, colors, and textures. When my friends see it, I tell them it's Mitchellwood...then I explain the story. Everyone that has seen it is blown away. I am proud to be their friend, and happy to write this richly deserved review.

Dustin and his crew painted the entire interior of my rental unit. Probably the best quality I've seen from any painter. Dustin is easy to work with, trustworthy and reliable. Highly recommend.
