We've been at Hillbrook for 7 years and each year the school reports placing over 95% of its eighth graders into their first choice high school - basically all but the occasional 1 or 2 students who get their second choice. The admissions people at the top schools say they love Hillbrook kids.

Sacred Heart Nativity School is a great place for learning and training for low income middle school kids who have high potential but low achievement to grow up as leaders of tomorrow. Martha's Kitchen provides these kids a fighting chance by serving them breakfast, lunch and dinner. They keep the kids in school for 10 hours and these kids need a lot of nourishment to accomplish what is asked of them.

Champion School has always been the second home for our kids, they literally grew there from toddlers and we are very grateful for that. Eleven years ago, we were looking for a good pre-school for our 2.5 year old kid. We visited at least 10 different schools before we zeroed in on Champion. Champion School provides high academics in a very friendly environment with a positive disciplinary method. In addition to academics, Champion School also provides excellent debate coaching, robotics classes, Java and Logo programming and public speaking. The principal, Ms. Muna is very supportive and even kept tabs on our kids’ education progress during our temporary relocation. She was encouraging my child who was in a different country and even sent her wishes for our child’s achievements. You will never see a debate coach like Mr. Sandeep. He knows how to pick the brains of the students to bring out critical thinking. Mr.Sandeep is always there for each debate tournament, the first one to come in and the last one to leave during an all-day 12-14 hour tournaments. All the credit of my elder one’s debate wins goes to Mr. Sandeep & Ms. Muna. My little one who is in 4th grade now says Mr. Sandeep is the best debate coach in the world😊 . We are proud that we made the right decision to pick Champion and if we have to do all over again, we will do the same thing without a second thought!

We have been part of the Action Day family for the last 5 years. Our oldest son started there at 6 months and our youngest at just 10 weeks old. We couldn't be happier with the care that is provided at Allen. Everyone knows just how hard it is to put your children in the hands of someone else, especially at such a young age, and Allen took all of that worry away. The best part of Allen is the community that it provides. Every single staff member knows our family, as well as our boys, by name and goes above and beyond to make sure that we have everything we need. The simple "hellos" and greetings from the office staff assure us, everyday, that we are valued and seen as part of the community. Our oldest son is more than ready for Kindergarten and our youngest is thriving at 7 months old, due greatly in part, to the teachers at Allen. They provide the most rigorous curriculum, while at the same time, the best individualized attention, especially to our infant. It was of the utmost importance to make sure we chose a place where our children would learn and be cared for, and where we would be a part of a family, not just a school. Allen does just that... and more!

It’s interesting how the people who complain about “the teachers don’t care about the students” never give a solid example. My kids have to schools in Menlo Park, Los Altos and Almaden. This is the FIRST school that has a responsive, hard working, caring staff and teachers. The work is rigorous but they work with STANFORD and their studies on appropriate amount of homework as they want the kids to have family time and extracurricular time. They believe in well-rounded kids. The kids these days have enough stress, this school knows that and does not believe in assigning busy work which most private and public schools do. If there is a bullying issue, they are on it! And they won’t hesitate to kick a kid out if they continue to cause problems. THAT is the way a school should operate. Additionally, they have programs that no other schools in the Bay Area have. They work closely with NASA and have an ISS program where the students work with the astronauts and create projects that they will then send to the space station. Yvonne Cagle, NASA Astronaut, is one of the board members of the AMSE department (the STEM program). They have a top notch, state of the art conservatory and every kind of sport and clubs that you can think of. The software they use for the animation classes is the same professional software that Pixar and other animation studios use and I could go on and on. If you want to listen to those who don’t like the school for their own reasons then you are not getting the full story. SCHOOL IS WHAT YOU MAKE OF IT AND NO SCHOOL IS PERFECT. I have to wonder why the complaints from parents are in broken English? And kids who I’m sure don’t help themselves to make school a good experience. And yet they don’t give any solid examples of why they are unhappy, just that “they don’t care about the kids”. That is pure bull. If there has ever been an issue they have always been responsive and caring. None of the other private schools we have attended in Menlo Park, Los Altos and Almaden have been even close to how responsive and caring this school is. Check it out for yourself instead of listening to bitter kids who hate school and parents who speak broken English and may not understand the school. There are always going to be complainers. Make your own decisions.

Been taking my daughter her for pre school and the staff are fantastic the kids are friendly no complaints.

This was my high school for high school. 1986 graduate. I had tears looking at the photos. Life is hard and High school has great memories. I had my first cheerleading tryouts in the new gym. It was built back in my day. Loved the German class over off the Gym. It was fun to see my old locker too. School was tough and I am glad for that. I appreciate all I can looking back.ay God continue to bless this place.

Both my children attend Merryhill - elementary and preschool. The most important element that has always amazed me is the teachers and staff. Both elementary and preschool have excellent leadership. At the elementary school, Karen Cooper is the kind of principal who takes special care of every student, every parent, and every staff member. She is there to celebrate the successes, and helps to foster important lessons when expectations aren't met. Although parents are busy at demanding jobs in the valley, some still find time to volunteer and participate in PTA. I hope even more will participate next year. At the preschool, Principal Heather Bilbro always has time to listen to my concerns. I get the sense that she is perfectly suited for her job - always ready to hug a toddler or calm a little baby. I'm glad we found this school. It gets better every year.

My daughter, who is in grade one now, is a bit on the hyper side and could not fit with Challenger's rigid, almost military like, learning environment. But once I moved her to Startford she has blossomed.. and did really well in kindergarten and is also now doing fine as first grader. I give credit to the teachers and administrators of this school who welcomed us with open arms from day one.. as I had to yank her out in the middle of the school year, last year.
