Mixed menu of larger portion almost tapa style yummie starters some vegan! Incredible mixed burger topped with a very incredible baked fresh brioche bun. Even a vgan burger, all protien too.
Unique pizza menu similar to, as good as, Milo Olive in Santa monica.
Decent wine & beer selection. Ate and drank happily through dinner for two: $130 TX & top, not too bad in modern la!

Very loud at prime time, but service was still good. Food is decent and FINALLY found an Italian place in LA where I don't have to pay $8 for a few pieces of bread on the table while you're waiting for food.
The caprese salad and other salads we tried we're nothing to write home about if you're used to good Italian food. Homemade spaghetti special was really good and usually homemade pasta dishes in LA are way overpriced, so this was relatively refreshing. Pizza was ok, again nothing to knock your socks off, but least had a very thin crust.

I friggin love this place. Serviceable Chinese food, great prices, huge portions and awesome old school vibe. Is the food the best ever? No but as a complete package it's one of my favorites on the west side. Stick with black bean dishes, shu mai and shrimp with broccoli.

Retro chic, reminiscent of the old heydays from the 50s/60's. Super friendly staff. Great to find somewhere other than route 66 that symbolises this era.
Food servings were generous, and reasonably priced. If you want a burger cheap go to in and out, if you want a burger with an atmosphere go to Johnies!!
