If you're looking to get tattoos and piercings done in the KW area, this is the place to go. Wayne is an incredible artist and very easy to get along with. Started getting tattooed by him when I was 16 and have never gone to anyone else since (11 tattoos and counting). Have recommended a handful of friends who have all been quite satisfied with his work as well. Deacon is hands down the best piercer in the area and after being pierced by him, you won't go anywhere else. Don't let the prices steer you away as they are well worth what you get. Very clean and professional environment, cool atmosphere in the studio. Honestly just love Wonderland Studios.

Context: I've been tattooed at BCT twice over the past year. The following comes from my own experiences, as well as two friends that have gone here within the last year and a half, meshed together to protect anonymity. My last tattoo here was a few months ago, but a friend recently had an awful experience here which prompted this review. If you're going to BCT only for a well-done tattoo by talented artists, and you don't care how you get it, by all means come here, as the staff are all super talented. But if you want a tattoo done in a comfortable, professional environment, this is where we run into problems. First issue is the shop itself. This is down to preference, but I think it's cramped if more than one artist is working, and far too small for four artists and their stations. No sense of privacy at all. It's not the cleanest shop I've ever seen either, not outright dirty by any means, but could be better. The second issue, and the real kicker for me, is the complete lack of professionalism from the staff (and lack of personal hygiene from one of them), which is a shame because they're some of the best artists in the area. Feel free to call me a prude, but as a customer, there are a few things I'd really not like to hear about from an artist while they're working on placing permanent artwork on my body, and one of those is drugs. Feels like, this, and internal drama, is all they talk about here. On and on about drugs, and people they know who deal, and personal issues, and drama. One of the last things I want to hear while someone is hovering over me with a needle is how messed up they were the night before. That'd even be acceptable, as long as they were sober while giving the tattoo, but I guess even that's too much to ask. One friend received a tattoo here from an artist here that was visibly high. The tattoo (which has since been fixed by another artist at a different shop), looked horrible, with blown out lines everywhere. I think that says enough regarding the level of professionalism at Black Cobra. I know it's easy to write this off as anecdotal, or someone having a bad day, but this is the experience of three people over the course of a year and a half. The artists are great at what they do, but mostly too immature to run a shop. I really wanted to like this place, but. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend taking your business here.

The Parlour is an amazing place to go to get a tattoo! I just got a piece done by Nicole, she did a fantastic job and I’m so happy with how it came out :) All of the artists there seem super chill and knowledgeable, and not to mention that the studio itself is not only clean, but it’s also really gorgeous inside!!

Great tattoo shop, clean and professional. Mark does awesome custom work. His work is amazing, highly detailed, cleanest line work and amazing colour comprehension. Only shop I get my work done at in town.

Friendley and profecional and excillent artists

They are amazing people,very polite and fun to be around... but my belly button piercing is Absolutely awful! I cry about it a lot now.... it was pierced crooked and with too much skin between the ring. I tried to work with it ... It healed on and off for about 6 months, than after that it grew a tumour the size of a nickel. I had to drain it every other day or I couldn’t bend over. I had salt watered it every night and put creams on it. I just took it out tonight after 5 months of pain and torture... it looks so awful and is going to scar really bad, waste of my money , he didn’t take the time to double measure or make sure that it was going to be lined up... very upset

Amazing work done by Nick Payne! He made my mom's and mine tattoo experience well worth it! He's great price for what you get done and has amazing at what he does!!!! Will definitely be going back for me

My tattoo is almost gone :) I've had the pleasure of working with Rob with getting my tattoo removed. We're not quite there yet, but getting closer to the finish line. The studio is clean and Rob uses top of the line equipment. He is a knowledgeable and experienced professional. I highly recommend Rob and his studio in Waterloo.
