Our latest adventure with TJ was a 23 day travel to the UK from Hereford to Iona. In this internet world many people book their own holidays. I AM NOT ONE OF THEM. Not only was Mike able reduce my stress level by getting the trip organized but he was able to give us advice and tips about what road to take for maximum speed or maximum scenery, places to stay were excellent for our travel hopes and budget. Very peaceful little place for a walk or to find a bench and just sit and read a book. The pond itself was fairly shallow and weedy but seemed to have a fair amount of turtles and frogs and maybe some chub in it.

It's a fascinating engineering achievement moving boats between different heights of water without a lock or channel.
Everything is easy to see and a small museum talks about the watwr system and local history.
There's not much to do besides watch the railway go back and forth a few times but it is spectacular to watch.
