BC Fishing Charter Getaway. My husband convinced me to go on a Fishing Charter vacation in Prince Rupert. As imagined I wasn't thrilled at first--Cabo sounded more like a vacation than fishing. I have to admit though, after I caught my first salmon, I was hooked! The best part was being able to eat what I caught. I picked up some fabulous seafood recipes from the chef - Thanks Gayle! Consider me a fishing charter convert.

Fabulous live aboard experience, hospitality is the best, Great Food with Whale watching for entertainment. Then the fishing, we had multiple double headers on Coho, sometime 3 rods were active, fish and fishers doing a dance all at the same time. When asked what species of fish we wanted to try for next the "hotspots" did not disappoint.
Deb and Doug really provide a great all around experience, well worth the trip! Highly Recommended!!

Brian gave my son and me a great introduction to fishing in the Prince Rupert area. We had a good catch of rock fish and halibut, and picked up a bounty of prawns and crabs from his traps on the way home to the harbour. A clean and safe boat, with a knowledgeable and personable skipper. Brian cleaned our fish and taught us how to fillet the flat fish. We will be back. I will recommend Hecate Strait Charters to my friends.
