John with Reeves Auto Repair recently worked on my truck and I was very pleased with his attention to detail and professionalism. So the other reason I'm writing this review is share my latest experience with Reeves Auto. Last Sunday on my way home from Vacation I broke down on I-5 still three hours from home. The next morning I called John seeing as he was the last one to work on my truck. In some small way I was hoping he wasn't responsible for the issues at hand. John offered to pay for the first two hours of service to diagnose the issue and thanks goodness it had nothing to do with his previous work. I felt bad making that call but John assured me that it was ok. The amazing part to this all this is that John continued to stay in contact with the me and the other mechanic to make sure I was taken care of. He went above and beyond the call of duty!! If your vehicle isn't under the care of Reeves Auto repair your making a huge mistake!! Thanks again John!

Great experience. I recently moved to San Leandro and needed to find someone to perform a smog check on my ‘04 Subaru Forester. The first shop I went to couldn’t, but referred me here. From the minute I stepped through the door I was impressed by their customer service and professionalism. When my car was having problems today I didn’t think twice but came right back. This is a shop where I don’t feel that I have to be worried about being upsold, they are only going to tell me what actually need to be done. I highly recommend them!

Great Machine Shop. Knowledgeable, skilled, honest shop. I took my 1983 Toyota hilux engine to them (22r four cylinder) and they built a complete long block for me. They made recommendations based on the performance I was looking for as well as suggestions for my application (rock crawler). Since putting the engine in I put 30k miles on it, ZERO issues. I sold the truck and new owner put another 30K on it, again ZERO issues. A+ shop in my book.

If you're looking for a shop of respectful and knowledgeable auto mechanic's. Look no further then Cartex! Trustworthy is the best way I can describe them. None of that up selling on crap you don't need like the first shop I went to!!!! No, they spell it all out for you with a complete digital inspection report with images . So you can see with your own eyes and so you can make an educated decision on what needs to been done ASAP and what can be put on a to do list for a latter date and a bonus is the price is the best I have found.

Very good experience! The owner, Greg, is a very nice and honest man. I had my car repaired here. When I checked out, I found the actual payment was lower than estimated given (which I accepted already) before. He said because things went smoothly and less labor time was spent. This is the first time I've ever seen this. I'll definitely use Greg's service again, and strong recommend to others.

An absolute fantastic experience and overall service. The family that runs Allmac are super informative, educational as they both go out of the ordinary, to explain what may need to be done, what parts are needed, and also everything is completed within a very reasonable time frame. Great auto mechanic experts here! I highly recommend this place, any questions I had were answered, and then further more explaining the process so that I know what's going to happen. People that run businesses, don't usually take the extra time to explain things to their customers. I appreciate these things.

good people but rates too high

This rate is for Truck Wash. They do a decent job. Tell them to not wash your engine if that what you want, otherwise they'll soak it, my engine light came on after they through water, I told them but they don't communicate pretty well among each other.. Also it gets busy (on sunny days) they usually close by 4p, so get there early and be ready to wait for a long time when they are busy.

This place is a total ripoff, stay away from them. I went there with a problem, they diagnosed it and called me to tell me that it's one of the ignition coils and it's going to be close to a grand for parts & labor. Bought the parts from the shop for $75 and spent 15 minutes replacing the coil in my driveway. This was NOT a 2-3 hour job or whatever they were charging me for. And because I refused to pay their usury rates, they charged me $120 for diagnostics - this was not disclosed to me when I dropped off the car.

Very happy with work they did to service my 30 year old RV generator. Bob and Sandra both very pleasant and professional to deal with. They didn't replace anything that didn't need replacing. The generator works really well now. It's a good idea to be able to leave your equipment with them for a bit to allow time for a quality job.

East bay truck repair .My name is Ron Tavares i have a tree service in oakland my dad started in 1951 i have a 1980s fmc brush chipper the baring whent out of the spline shaft belt assembly, so i pulled the assembly off and took it to these guys for a price the pilot bearing seized and the main bearing needed to be replaced and the spline needed to be turned,so i took all the parts including the pilot bearing i was tol i would have a price in a week, so time whent by it was nearly a month when i received a call , your assembly is ready to be picked up i was shocked so i figuered oh well i need my chipper so when i go to pick it up the price was 600.00 and some dollars i thought was high for only pressing in a 120.00 bearing then i noticed the the spline haddent be turned so i mentioned it to jim and he said they couldnt do that ??? They ? I thought you were gonna do the work , we had to send it out .ok ok what ever did you get me a new pilot bearing ? We lost it so we cant match it ok ??? Weeks whent by no calls so im frustrated and when i came in jim new it , dont worry for the inconveinence we will put it back together for you 1hr job nice guy . ok? So i get a call your chipper is ready i pick it up a chipper is used bassically at the end of the day so after i used it for 6 days my guys tell me about a nasty grinding sound i new what it was they never found the original pilot bairing so the put a car bushing instead which made no contact wharsoever with th spline it set in the further hole in the cranck shaft i new this is what must have happened . So i brought the chipper back for them to repair it the dissasembled the chipper , and i came and looked at it . I WAS RIGHT ! Sammy is the bright mechanic who did the work . Im frustrated . A nother month goes by i go check on because i never get a call sammy is frustrated go figuer ?i said forget it i will put it together i did some thinking the spline had no pilot bearing for support i bet the 600. Bearing is shot and the crank shaft where the pilot bearing is pressed into is shot so i text jim and asked will you please inspect these parts before i pick up the chipper a week goes by no response so i call and leave a voice mail sammy calls me right back i thought you were gonna pick up your chipper? I told him about the text he said gim never got it ok ? Its still on my phone i knew but didnt say. Not getting anywhere i go pick up my chipper all apart i check the new bearing iy shot the crank is chewed up jim is talking with another customer i mentioned it to him , no response . I hook up my chipper before i leave i whent to his office and frustrated i said im going to keep track of the chipper rentals until my chipper is fixed ! His response i told you to have that spline turned . Do i look like a ass? Many of you know me DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY....
