I've been getting my hair styled and cut with Lahaina, for more than 20 years. I like to say hair stylists are like auto mechanics and bankers, when you find one you like and trust, you never switch! Lahaina is wonderful, professional and a good friend. I've tried different hair styles and cuts throughout the years, she has always executed them with professional skill and style. I've have been in a situation where my work has taken me away from Toronto for more than a few months; but I always wait to return to Toronto to get my hair cut by Lahaina, I really mean it when I say once you have found a really good hair stylist no one else will touch my hair! Lahaina and Jennifer the two sisters who run Hair Concept 2000 Toronto, always create a friendly relaxed atmosphere, especially around the holiday seasons, there are free goodies to enjoy and complementary tea or coffee. If you are looking for a professional, comfortable place to get your do done, I recommend you give Lahaina or Jennifer a call

The salon staff in general have great service: they take your stuff and put it in a locker for you in exchange for a key that they place on your wrist; after assisting you with getting your salon robe on, they walk you to your chair where they'll bring you a hot tea that you can get unlimited refills for. I've gone a couple of times to see Hiro for balayage services and a hair treatment. She is super sweet and has done a fantastic job with my hair! Last week I went for balayage and toning and I love the end result! I've gotten so many compliments on my hair and it doesn't feel damaged after bleaching because of the olaplex.

I went to this salon yesterday for the first time since the one I usually go to was fully booked. I am soo happy with the results! The staff were super friendly and welcoming and I paid way less then I would have for the same thing at my usual place. Needless to say, I think i just found my new go to salon!! Kenny did my nails and Sofia did my moms and we are both 100% happy! Can't wait to go back! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Kanako is the best. Super talented, will be recommending her to anyone and everyone. She got me from burgundy back to my natural (dark blonde) in one sitting WITHOUT BLEACHING MY WHOLE HEAD. Other stylists had told me it wasn't possible without alot of damage, or that it would take months.. one even quoted me $600!! She Did it in one sitting, my hair feels healthy, and she only charged me $220. I could not be happier. Thank you Kanako!!!! Side note: the salon is very nice, the staff are polite.. overall 10/10 experience.

I recently had microblading done at Unique Beauty Salon and I received great service. Mariya, who I believe is the owner, re-did my brows beautifully after another artist had done a horrible job. I know it was hard to work with what was already there but she made them look so much better than they did before. She was honest, funny and gave positive advice. I would def recommend for microblading services.

Best hair cut by Stavro

I've been to this salon 3 times. The first time Heleka/ Helena did a good job on the root touch up and didn't overcharge me. The second time she insisted that she can highlight my hair light brown without bleach and made it seem like she's a colour expert. By the time she blow dried my hair there was no absolute brown highlights amidst my dark brown hair strands. So it was obvious that I'm not going to pay for something I didn't receive. But she insisted on booking an appointment for the following week knowing that I'm not interested in bleaching my hair as it causes damage. I explained multiple times that bleach is not something I'm willing to go through yet she disregarded my concern. Today, I went to get my roots done and she increased the price by $10 for the colour, and told me that prices have changed. One thing I'd like the manager of your salon to know that ladies know how much they spent and what services they received from a hair salon they choose to go back to. Also, it's your responsibility to let your clients know when they're booking the appointment tbat prices have changed. So today, by the time I was ready to pay for the roots colour she added an extra $10 on the bill for washing my hair! Long story short, the prices are not listed, and even if you're one of their clients they'll raise the prices on simple jobs such as a dark brown root touch up. They'll slowly increase the price at every visit, and they'll even end up charging you $10 for washing your hair after a root color touch up! I do not recommend this place and I would definitely not return to do business with Kamiya hair salon again. One advice to all the ladies and gents is to verify the prices of color, style, wash, and ask for the total price prior to getting any work done.
