Had a fabulous day on Bay

This was a great experience. We signed up for the Weekend Warrior Adventure package. They are well organized. This is a high-end version glamorous camping. Well worth it I highly recommend. We stayed at the Wilderness Pods which I believe was new for this year. It is very well appointed cabin complete with a 2pc washroom, queen size bed, pull-out couch, table and chairs, fridge, small fan and even an electric fireplace. Basic toiletries soap shampoo etc are also included. The space was great very relaxing although there is one caveat. We of course had to choose the hottest long weekend of the summer. This cabin like anything gets very warm inside. I would advise you to bring your own bigger electric fan. The Wilderness Pods is mid-level of the three options. Unlike the Suites does not come with its own shower, but everything else. The shower is only a stone's throw away so it works quite well. As part of the package we had dinner at Burning kiln, Normandale, did daytime zip line as well as nighttime zip line and cap it off with Big Creek paddle kayaking. I will be posting reviews on them as well individually. All the staff was great all throughout.

Working with Trevor has been a treat. His handsome woodworking and canoes ares rivaled only by his ability to take you on a journey. Choosing a still water boat from Ashes isn't a transaction, it's an experience. Take the time to meet this wonderful Stratford craftsman, you will will not be disappointed.

I agree, Don Munroe is nothing short of amazing. His guidance was a huge help for me and my family in our darkest times. Truely greatful and would highly recommend W.G Young to anyone.

Use Marina all the time, $20 for launch, clean easy in & out, parking is good

The annual second Sunday in July weekend brings in Canada’s largest group of partiers on boats. To keep them safe is one of Canada’s largest flotilla of OPP police officers & Canadian Coast Guard. Just off the tip of Long Point, patrolling the line for days before & after, are the Guardians of the free world: Convoys of US Homeland Security. (Or maybe Boarder Patrol, Navy & Coast Guard.) Presumably any lost, or roaming Canadian registered boats will be politely redirected back. There is some risk at the POTTAHAWK PISSUP, the main danger being the self inflicted imbibing one may do unto themselves. And that one could do at home in the backyard by a wading pool as easily, but without 1000’s of others, all in the same boat, so to speak.

Hastings Marine is amazing - we have all our boats stored and serviced there every year. Their customer service is above and beyond what we have experienced with other marinas. They are very responsive, honest and reasonably priced, and they go out of their way to help you out. We have recommended them to friends in the area as well and they were equally as impressed.
