Boating

I grew up in Victoria where several of my friends are avid fisherman as well as charter professionally. I have gone fishing on lots of really nice boats with guys that are great fisherman. When I went out with Dave I quickly learnt that there is levels of great fisherman and Dave is definitely at the top. First off the boat and gear is incredible. Beautiful and comfortable boat with amazing gear. The second part, this was not fishing we were catching! My favourite part about being on his boat is all the other local guys and fisherman want to know what he is using and where he is fishing. He gets lots of radio calls from other fisherman trying to figure out what he was using that day. He was a great host and very friendly. You can tell that he really loves what he is doing! We have gone with him at least 2 times a year since 2014 and we have almost always limited out. We even caught a beautiful Halibut trolling (see the picture). It is my opinion that he is the only guy to fish with! Thank you Dave for all the great days in the boat we will see you soon my friend!! Jeremy

I started my day today realizing my daughter did not get home last night, and panicing. I know I probably drove the Operators, Constable Houle. (Hope that's how you spell it) ,Search and Rescue and the rest of you guys crazy . Only a Daughter would try to twist that into a, ''It's your Fault that I went Crazy''. Pros: Clean bathroom facilities, outdoor open shower, large swimming area, boat launch, and beautiful scenery. Con: water can give you lake itch if you don't shower thoroughly after swimming.

Great hikes, good store and restaurant, friendly staff, live music Saturday night with delicious outdoor buffet dinner.

Very great for swimming, boating, and fishing alike. The are is highly dog and child friendly as well.

It seems a long time ago now that I had the great pleasure of working with becoming friends with Fern Hickerson. Having a little time today she'd been on my mind so I thought I'd take a minute post. I met her at a house we were considering when she filled in for another agent. She didn't know what to make of me because my first words to her were a warning on introductions that I HATED most Realtors and was in the process of suing one on behalf of my elderly parents. Completely undaunted she showed me around and said happily she had a couple of others we could see another day. She reluctantly let me use my own vehicle and gas to house hunt together- but still smiling - as I insisted -explaining to her I don't believe Realtors or anyone should have to work for free - if I didn't end up buying. I also told her I don't believe many agents earn the amount of commission they're entitled to. Not once did she defend the industry when I nattered on and even agreed with some of my concerns about the practice double ending/one agent working with both parties. That's when I knew I'd met someone rare who actually values her integrity rather than the sale. She steered me away from a well priced house I wouldn't have known would have years of heavy construction vehicles driving by it and laughed hysterically with me when we viewed a home 'staged' with 'special magazines' left hastily by the bedside in a Master and after I stepped in my white Whistler boots on a mammoth plop of dog poop while exploring a potential front lawn. In short she found me our dream home and without stress or games between 'us & them' closed a great deal for ALL. She even took care financially of the seller's unintentional disclosure ommission that arose months after closing - without a single question. I've worked with over a dozen different agents over the years personally and twice that many professionally. Without a doubt she is THE BEST REALTOR I've ever met and I would be happy to recommend Fern to anyone - buying or selling - just thinking of it - or like many people intimidated by the entire process and not knowing what they don't know or how to start. If you're a first time buyer she will set the professional standard of what you should expect from any Realtor going forward and equally if you're a senior downsizing she'll do right by you. She simply loves what she does, is great at it and her reward is a happy client. Sadly, my husband and I eventually moved away from Revelstoke but we both think of her often. If you should see her tell her an old friend says hello!

Lovely location, super close to town, but isolated and quiet with an amazing view!

JIB SET has been an awesome club to start my sailing path. From simple sailor to 30ft boat skipper, I've learned a lot thanks to the club. I appreciate especially the spirit of welcomeness and adventure of its members. In the summer, the Friday Night Racing is an excellent opportunity to start the week-end by sailing in English Bay with nice people. I would definitely recommend this club! Drop by and give it a try! Fantastic place. My wife and I did the city and seals ride and loved it. After a week of hiking and biking around the city it was a beautiful change to see everything from the water. I legitimately felt as though I underpaid. Our guide (I think Alex?) really made the trip perfect though; he made us feel as we were being shown the city by someone who knew and loved the place instead of someone reading a script. Thanks for the experience!
