Amazing summer camp! Feel safe sending my child here.

Fully equipped Cottages and grounds were immaculate, nice firepit, great beach w/ muskoka chairs. Fishing boats were above standard as all equipped with Yamaha 15HP. (new and reliable). Fishing was spectacular, lot's of Pike, Walleye and Bass. Waterfall into Huron was teaming with 16" bass. Well worth the 15 minute hike from dam. Thanks for the memories!

I found out about Camp Casey several years ago... maybe ten, through a friend of the Founder. It just took one event for me to decide to support them and volunteer for years to come. I don't even have a personal connection to the cause. It was just moving how much of an impact this seemingly small organization makes directly with their "Campers" and their families. If you attend one Horsey House call, or one Cookout, or one Gala event, you will be brought to tears. Seriously amazing and impactful work with personal relationships being built.

Excellent camp de jour pour vos enfants dans un environnement agréable à deux pas du Parc de la Gatineau. Les moniteurs ont à cœur le bien être des enfants, sont dynamiques et responsables. Plusieurs options de camps pour répondre aux intérêts de tous.

Mes enfants ont assisté à ces camps à l’été 2017 (Camps de jour Sportmax - Cégep de l’Outaouais – Hull). Personnellement, j’ai été déçue de ces camps. Leur site Web et leurs produits de communication sont superbes, et portent à croire que leurs camps sont de très haute qualité. J’ai été rebutée par le nombre énorme d’enfants (des centaines) qui assistent au camp, tous gardés dans un bâtiment. À la fin de la journée, quand j’allais chercher mes enfants, tous les enfants du camp étaient répartis dans trois pièces : un grand gymnase, une salle de gymnastique avec des murs couverts de miroirs et une pièce sans fenêtres pour les enfants plus petits. Les moniteurs sont très jeunes (ils m’ont tous semblé avoir moins de 20 ans) et ne communiquent pas beaucoup avec les parents (quand j’allais chercher mon enfant, il se trouvait parmi des dizaines d’autres enfants, et aucun adulte/moniteur ne venait me saluer ou me parler de la journée de mon enfant; les quelques moniteurs présents parlaient entre eux et ne venaient pas à la rencontre des parents). Un moniteur est chargé de vérifier la pièce d’identité de chaque parent à la sortie, mais vu le montant énorme de personnes dans l’établissement, une file se forme à la sortie devant ce moniteur. Le ratio enfants/moniteur est sûrement conforme aux lois et règlements, mais m’a tout de même semblé insatisfaisant en fin de journée (c’est-à-dire qu’il y a un nombre très élevé d’enfants pour chaque moniteur sur place). Mes enfants m’ont dit que pendant la journée, ils allaient parfois à la piscine intérieure située sur place, mais ils ne sont presque jamais sortis à l’extérieur, malgré le beau temps. Quant à leur opinion à eux, ils n’ont pas détesté ces camps, mais ils ne les ont pas adorés non plus. Dans leurs mots, c’était « correct ». À noter que chaque vendredi, il y a un spectacle pour les parents en fin d’après-midi; le parent doit donc prévoir de prendre quelques heures de congé à cet effet. Conclusion : Vu que le prix de ces camps est supérieur à celui des camps de la Ville de Gatineau et que leurs produits de communication sont de très haute qualité, je m’attendais à quelque chose de mieux, mais, finalement, je crois que les camps de la Ville sont un peu mieux gérés et valent plus la peine.

My cousin sent his children(10&12) to this camp for three weeks between July 18-August 5th. and kids didn't learn more than anything they have already knew. There were issues with: 1) uneven lunches or snacks that were provided to the children; for example some kids were getting two burgers, some was getting only one, some kids were getting two ice-creams some was getting no ice-cream at all. 2) public commute was provided instead of school buses, therefore so many issues raised with that such as delay in trips to the destination of planned afternoon activities; such as team leaders got lost after getting off of the buses and couldn't find the actual destination of the planned trip (Aviation Museum) so kids had to walk for kilometers under the hot weather; and some team leaders got off of the bus in a wrong stop so they also made the children walk for kilometers arrived to the destination for just before the place close down for the day (Aviation Museum); they had to walk back the same way to the bus stop. 3) Afternoon activities were not well organized, such as children were taken to the Dow's lake for paddle boats, but some children couldn't even get on the boats; some children were left on the boats for hours before they were getting help to return to the docks. When we complained about the issues (#2) to the Manager Sharen Craig, she promised that she was going to get back to us to make it up to the students, but she never did. 4) It was very expensive. Even though some of the teachers who works for this organization do their best to teach to the children, I wouldn't recommend this camp to anyone, I didn't even want to give one star to the organization. The management certainly make you feel that money is the only factor for their business not teaching.

Great hiking trails? Check! Clean lakes to swim in? Check! Beaches with both bathrooms and change rooms? Check? Great options for food after a long day at the park? Check! I highly recommend this for anyone. There is something for absolutely everyone.

Office is not open at busy time. But a very clean campground for the older generation.
