Camp

This is hands down the best place to camp within an hour's drive outside Calgary. I think the secret to this campsite is that many people see that it is an equestrian site and therefore do not think about camping there. The site itself is very nicely laid out. We always camp on the creek side, and it's almost always empty. Skip Sibbald Lake and head right to Dawson Equestrian for camping.

Great place to get RV parts prices are comparable to the bigger centers. If they don't have it they can get it for you. They have lent us tools to fix a hot water tank and got us back on the road for an important family reunion. The guys at the shop are friendly and the team does an excellant job , we have had numerous jobs done big and small and we have been happy with all there work.. '

Fairly easy hike from Elbow Lake parking lot. From highway 40, the elevation gain is 200+ meters and a distance of approximately 7.5 kilometers. Excellent views from the campsite, plus every site has a firepit.

Friendly staff. They sure know their stuff on anything Fernie. If want to do something outside the whole touristy stuff, talk to these folks, they'll tell you where to go.

We drove through the drive through for our purchase. I ordered a bacon bagel belt and a tea and my companion a coffee and muffin. We started driving away and I realized I did not get what I asked for as a sandwich. I drove back and the staff was very apologetic and were willing to make me a whole new sandwich. I said all I was missing was egg and didn't need the tomato. They corrected my order and apologized once again. I was more than happy with the sandwich there after! Thank you ladies! Great friendly service and fast!!!
