Camp

Just returned from a pleasant family camping trip. Stayed on site 98 which is great close proximity to the only running water comfort station in the whole park and a short walk to the second beach (which, in our opinion, is the better one). Site was smallish but held our SUV and large 8 person tent while not feeling claustrophobic. Our only complaint, though no part the parks fault but something other incoming guests might want to know, is the hwy being so close to a lot of sites. All night the sounds of big rig trucks and cars rushing along the highway made it feel a lot less peaceful. Weekend nights seemed quieter but otherwise I'd recommend staying away from the highway sites if you need a peaceful and quiet night sleep. But, absolutely we will return.

Awesome Location

Wolfe Island is beautiful with its scenery and wildlife. The people are very friendly and they wave as you drive by even though you don't know them. Good old Island hospitality is alive and well on Wolfe Island.

It has been a few years since we were there. We did enjoy the quiet rustic setting. The amenities are not consistent with more expensive nude resorts but the prices are less and it is much less crowded and more peaceful. We preferred it to bigger, more modern and more crowded resorts. We would go back.

I missed the most incredible picture of a sunset but the place was beautiful and fun to explore on our small boat. If you are camping look at the map as we felt we were a little far away from the washrooms. The campsites vary in privacy and tree cover so also look at the photos if this concerns you. My aunt and uncles site was covered in mulberries so it would have been a mess if they had been renting. It wasn’t full when we were there and no one seemed too rowdy at night.

Great area and and beautiful drive around

My mind is still in Sharbot Lake. Star-gazing by the lake, hearing the sounds of nature at 3 am, watching shooting stars and sattelites, bonfire and laughter and more. Can't contain the raw scenic beauty in a few words.

The Best run campground I have visited in a long time and I camp since the eighties. Lovely organized campsites, plenty of comfort stations, full hookup for the trailers. Gorgeous and innovative playgrounds for kids. The only problem I had with the keepers is: Your religion, no matter how important it is to you, should be kept private.

I'm almost 57 years old. I remember going to this camp when I was 12 years old with Antioch Baptist Church out of Cleveland, Ohio in 1972. Again in 1973 with my younger brother Richard. We had a ball both years. The food was great! I remember crying when I left, because I had so much fun. I now work with a group called the Lake Erie Order of Pythagorans, a young group of boys and would love to see about getting them there for summer camp. Looks like it has improved since then. This place gets a full 5 stars for going above and beyond. We were going to rent a cabin tonight because had to wait for a ride for a couple hours. The owner not only suggested going into town to a restaurant to wait instead of spending $80 for a cabin, he offered us a lift to town and refused any payment. Good people still exist.

No longer a commercial resort. Cottages are now privately owned.

Beautiful park. Very clean, the lots are great size and very private with lots of mature trees. There is lots of stuff to see and do. A very quiet and relaxing campgrond. Loved it.

My son attended a birthday party here. He really enjoyed his time with friends. He loved the megma tiles and the Lego candy !
