I miss this camp so much! Summers 2016-2019 were the best 4 summers of my life. The camp offers a variety of fun activities in a beautiful setting such as waterskiing, rock climbing, archery, etc. The camp’s Leader in Training (L.I.T) program is a great oppourtunity for high school students to complete their community service hours required for graduation. The counselors are professional and understanding and are mostly teachers in training. This camp is great at accomodating children and adolecents with and without ADHD, high functioning Autism and other learning disabilities. In conclusion, I give this camp a 10/10 one of the best camps around!
Junior Coders
1-2021 Williams Pkwy, Brampton, Ontario, L6S 5P4, Canada
Junior Coders is a fun place to learn and get introduced to coding. Both my daughters started at the ages of 8 and 6, and 2 years later have learned how to think logically and use basic scratch and python programming. I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in getting their kids involved. The teachers are also great with the children.
KNB Learning

My son loves the KNB program. He attended a winter camp on Minecraft and then we signed up for the Winter Lego Robotic program which he really enjoyed. It is a great environment and the staff are very good.

SYNERGY PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY
55 Mountainash Rd, Brampton, Ontario, L6R 1W4, Canada
Please reconsider sending your child/children here for lessons.
Lessons are advertised as private, 60 minute lessons, however, students do not receive a full 60 minutes with the teacher. Instead, students are rotated and moved around from room to room. They are first sent to a warm-up room by themselves. This room has multiple keyboards in it, with multiple children playing at the same time. I am not sure how a child can focus with so many other children playing at the same time. After this, children are then moved to the next room with the teacher. There may be two children in the same room while the teacher tends to both of them, with one at the piano, while the other is sitting at a desk working on theory. When the child on the piano is done, the child that was previously working on their theory homework moves to the piano, and the next children from the warm-up room enters. This method of teaching is not considered private.
There is an extremely high turn over rate of teachers that work here, which should also tell you that something is not right.
Please beware.
Hundal Camp
101 Professors Lake Pkwy, Brampton, Ontario, L6S 4P8, CanadaCamp Riverwood
Markham, Ontario, L6C 1P2, Canada
I signed up my 6 year old daughter this summer (July 2017) thinking she would have the best experience with camp Riverwood..boy was I wrong. They have teenagers running the camp with no adult supervision, they have no attention to detail like when I asked them not to let my daughter wear her bathing suit for the whole day, and she came home the next day wearing it again. There website is a lie when they say the kids go swimming everyday..they actually just go to the splash pad. So many things happened..but this was the kicker..when I asked one of the staff members (who was a teenager) what they did one rainy day (a they say they have an indoor program) I got this response " oh my god..like the panda's and tigers were all under the shelter going crazy for like and hour and a half..oh my god it was crazy.. and then some of them started rolling around in the mud..oh my god..I wish I we went to the indoor program'..I couldn't believe my ears. I thought, I am leaving my child in the hands of these people?? I complained..got to the owner via email, and got my money back..playing with playdoh and colouring for a week, is not my idea of a camp experience, and that is what it seems she did all week. Trying out Metro Zoo Camp in a week..hope this one goes a lot better!
Green Acres Day Camp
11123 Kennedy Rd, Markham, Ontario, L6C 1P2, Canada
A very quaint camp with lots to do.
The ratings seem to express a camper-counsellor dichotomy, which is quite amusing. Having went there several times for workshops, you can tell that some of them are worn out. It says something about the conditions that they have to work in, which is an obvious concern.

So many things to say about this amazing summer camp. The site is very private with its own lake, the programs are thoroughly planned and executed with high level of instruction, and the staff are some of the most amazing humans in the world!
Camp Tanamakoon Ltd

Not a great experience. I liked the food which was really good but the sleeping situation was mediocre. The activities were not something that I would do. Mosquitos were awful. Not a great experience

282 Church St, Oakville, Ontario, L6J 1N8, Canada
This was my daughter's first away camp (outside of curriculum at school) and immediately following asked when the camp would be running the next year. As a karate student with Toraguchi Martial Arts for the last six years, this enhanced not only her karate skills, but offered an opportunity for her practice leadership, independence and cooperation with other campers. She is looking forward to summer of 2018 and did ask to attend BOTH weeks.
