We stayed here Canada day long weekend and we really enjoyed it. It easily fit 9 trailers with room to fit 3 or 4 more. Easy walk down to the river and which had a nice little waterfall on the way .Also it had a nice big shelter and all of our wood was free. (which we had lots of left overs)

This is hands down the best place to camp within an hour's drive outside Calgary.
I think the secret to this campsite is that many people see that it is an equestrian site and therefore do not think about camping there.
The site itself is very nicely laid out. We always camp on the creek side, and it's almost always empty.
Skip Sibbald Lake and head right to Dawson Equestrian for camping.

We (207 Burnewood Scouts) had just gotten back from a week out at Camp Impeesa. Everyone there was awesome to interact with and youth connected with all of them.
We did Zipline, Rockwall climbing, Archery, Tomahawks and many other actives.
All the site where clean as well.

Great sites that are very private and great facilities. Large day use area but the camping sites are really great. I love not being able to see my neighbours and makes you feel like you are Backcountry camping. You have to buy wood but the bundles are a fair size.

I have attended and volunteered with camp mackinicholea for the better part of 15 years. My closest friends were made here, friends I've had for hose 15 years. It's a magical place were you can be silly and sing songs all day long. There's always games to be played and a good time to be had. The lake is georgous and clean for daily swimming. This camp is suited for anyone really. The staff are hands on and makes it a priority to keep the kids entertained and safe.
