Psychotherapy from a social justice, advocacy perspective. Sympathetic bias towards parents, institutions and certain group identities, as opposed to empowering the individual in an objective sense. Emphasizes context and environmental factors regarding behavior (his and his clients). What this meant in my case, was that I was blamed for his dismissive, mawkish and pedantic ineffectualness. He was unable to help me, and I wasted thousands of dollars. He doesn’t really seem to like being a therapist and becomes increasingly bitter and resentful over time if you disagree with his assertions. Has a hard-left, social constructivist approach that comes out inappropriately in therapy sessions. He is inflexible and prone to countertransference. I wish there were more reviews on ratemds or ratemyprofs, so I could hear from others who may have had similar experiences. It’s hard to find a good psychologist in Saskatoon, as there aren’t many reviews or options available. I couldn’t find much information when I started out, but I was desperate for help, and this guy seemed to have the best credentials. I finally found someone else after deciding to give therapy another chance, and my life has gradually improved.

This place has help me more than one time. I recommend spenting 28 day's here for your addictions peoblems its helped me stay clean and sober I am going to use the tools they give me to stay clean and sober this is very important so much is go in my life atm so I need there help.

I have never experienced such an honest, and compassionate person to support me in my mental health. Jim has been absolutely amazing for my life and outlook to my future. I came to him broken and unable to identify why I was feeling so terrible. Within the first session I realized so many things. He was straight-forward as that is my personality as well, I laughed and cried in his office and felt 100% comfortable as I was explaining myself. In only a short time, he completely changed my outlook on how I see myself and perceive the world around me. I am a more positive person, have more confidence in myself and my abilities, and stopped blaming myself for every little thing in life. I have so much to thank him for, I am so glad I decided to come to you Jim!
