Decks & Railing

Contacted them on 2 occasions looking to get help for a bad deck we inherited with the purchase of our new house. On both occasions, josh got back to us but after we replied we never heard back from him. Unprofessional and poor service when a company cant even get back to you when you need help.

Had our deck done approx 3 years ago. Wanted composite but Frank convinced us to go with Tigerwood as it’s maintenance free —then upon completion told us we have to oil it every year. Didn’t use proper clips to hold boards used trex clips despite the fact I inquired about the ipe clips that are supposed to be used Frank told us they’re the same —do the same job but cost less don’t spend the money on them. Boards are sooo spaced out now because the clips don’t grip the boards to hold them in place. Upon install everything appeared ok but the following season just a disaster (boards almost 2cm apart) or not even held by clips and uneven spacing. Deck is on a slant . Just a complete mess! Never again. My hard earned money of $9000 that I gave him was not flawed but his workmanship is! Tried to call him to disciss issues brushed us off told us he’d call back never did. Stay away!

Cowman's construction did a fantastic job on my beautiful 800sq ft custom cedar deck. It's stunning! They have also done a variety of other renovation projects for me inside our house including insulation, drywall, painting, hardwood flooring and other upgrades. The service and workmanship are excellent.

The Oshawa location has good customer service but wouldn't except a return of unopened product. Read their fine print.

Great service. Chris and the gang work hard. This guy even found a stolen gargoyle for a customer lol. They did a fantastic job in our neighbourhood. No complaints from anyone around here! Thank you guys!!

I am very happy with the deck built by Neil and his crew. The workmanship was outstanding. Despite the challenges with the rainy weather, the deck was built in 2 weeks. Neil was professional in his approach, dependable and can be counted on to find a solution for any issues that may arise during the project. I highly recommend him if you are looking to have a deck built. I would not hesitate to use him for future projects.

Excellent customer service ! Great staff So helpful and knowledgeable.

Love my deck. Thanks deckcellence you guys are amazing.

Hello Mr Lang. We would like to get in touch with you to adjust any issued you might have with your deck. We take pride in our workmanship, and have been in business for many, many, successful years, so this review is quite surprising. We tried to look you up in our system, but there is no Thomas Lang on file, so we just hope this is not our competition posting bad reviews... With our commitment to safety including full liability insurance, WSIB coverage as well as WIMS and Fall Arrest training, we bring you not only the highest quality product but peace of mind as well. Lets get in touch Thomas! - Richard

So far the best burger I have tasted (after my wife's). They put something in the meat that gives a unique taste. Fries and Putin are good as well. Do I have to mention this place is dog friendly?

I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Pro-Fence and Decks. Jorge and Malachi were so great to deal with. I got exactly the deck I was hoping for, with excellent attention to detail. Not only that, the issues and changes I wanted were resolved and implemented so quickly and easily. I would hire them again in a heartbeat!

Pretty good experience overall. A few minor delays but nothing I would call unacceptable. Excellent email communication.

We are very disappointed with our Bytown Fence. It was built in October and a post warped the very next spring. The fence looks crooked. It took multiple emails and phone calls just to get an email reply that they don't cover it. I do not recommend Bytown Fence.

I bought a floating dock from them quite a few years ago which is still working great. With the water p so much this year I'm going to buy another for the back of the island.

Love our fence and good people to work with.
