Had a very good experience with two dentists here and a hygienist.

I had perfect and healthy teeth when I went to this clinic for a check up and they told me I need 9 fillings. I became suspicious at the time but was too busy and didnt go for a second opinion. I filled 6 teeth until my insurance ran out for the year. Also in my last visit, the doctor seemed too busy or in rush and drilled my tooth while it was half-frozen. I told him that its not fully frozen and Im in pain but he didnt care enough to wait for 10 more minutes and he kept drilling. After that awful visit I decided to stop going to PermaSmile. So I went to another place with very high rating in Ottawa and got two other dentists opinions and they both told me my teeth are perfectly fine and in very good health and there's no need to fill them . To PermaSmile, patients are only $$ and nothing else.

I have seen both Dr. Guberman (who has since left) and Dr. MacDonald, and had very positive experiences with both. My kids (2 and 6) have also been in for visits, and all the hygenists and dentists have had a great mannerism with the kids - walking them through each instrument they were going to use, letting them touch it, asking permission to clean one tooth first and then the rest. My eldest had one cavity, and they referred us to a pediatric dentist (Kids and Teens Dentistry in Barrhaven) as they have a specialized setup for young children and fillings, so my kids and I have only had cleanings here plus recently my mouth guard. I have insurance and they submit the expenses on the spot on my behalf. One time, there was a charge that might not get covered, which they explained clearly ahead of time so that I could opt in and out of it; another time, when I requested a mouth guard, they submitted an estimate to the insurer ahead of time (before I even booked an appointment) so that I could decide whether or not to go ahead based on my coverage level.

Over the past 30+ years I have been attending the various practices that have operated in this space and have been quite satisfied with the care I've received. Yesterday, though, i had an especially positive experience. I was there for a fairly significant procedure, but before starting, the dentist, Dr. Abdullah Abdul, re-examined the tooth in question and reviewed with me its condition, concluding with asking me if I wanted to carry on with the procedure. In our discussion he was very open to say that, although it is at risk, the tooth currently is in good shape and could never require the procedure. This gave me the opportunity to weigh whether I wanted to move forward and I decided not to. He was quite fine with my decision. I found it very positive that he checked with me again before proceeding with the procedure, even though it meant a loss of income for him and the practice and, likely, a gap in his billing time.

My wife and I have been patients for as long as we can remember. These people have always been at the forefront of service, professionalism, and care. It's always a joy to be there regardless of the circumstance.

I am a 43 year old man who has an absolute phobia of the dentist. Cleaning requires ativan. I just received a root canal from Dr Wiseman. Unsedated. First for me. She was amazing. Gentle. Exolains everything. Top notch. No pain. Highly recommended if you are a scaredy cat like me.

The absolute worst place to go for extractions. After being gassed up for my wisdom teeth removal I was ready for German to go. Then I recall hearing how my teeth are so big see can't pull them out because she hadn't eaten yet. Then she had to call another dentist in to take it out for her and get had some jokes as well. I felt like such a spectacle. They only took out 2 as opposed to the 4 but I'm glad because 7 years later I found someone else...it took me 7 years to trust another dentist. That's messed up. I hope this office has changed their ways.

I had dental work by Dr. Rai yesterday. It was completely painless and extremely well done. He and his staff are fantastic! Incredibly friendly and helpful. I would totally recommend Dr. Rai to anyone looking for a dentist. 2 thumbs up to the whole staff!

I have been seeing Dr. Li and her team for 20 years and highly recommend them. Dr. Li is personable, her staff are highly professional. They are wonderful at making you feel at ease from the moment you arrive.

Dr. Tremblay is extraordinary! A father of his own young children, he was a miracle-worker with our 4 year old. In our case, Dr. Tremblay was able to do 2 fillings without any freezing! There were no complaints and not a single tear. Dr. Tremblay talked calmly all the while about "cleaning" with a little brush (ie: drill), letting our boy see and hold the handle of each tool, saying that "this one is a bit more bumpy like a tractor wheel" and so on. Our boy was completely at ease and mesmerized by watching the cartoons on the ceiling above him with his special sun glasses on. (We did not want to go to a pediatric dentist and do general anaesthetic unless absolutely necessary--poison to render unconscious, but hopefully not kill or maim). Dr. Tremblay is also completely bilingual for any families who are more comfortable with French. He'll be dentist for our children for life!

Dr. Abou-Kheir and his staff are very friendly and passionate about their work and greeted me the second I walked in. The office is beautiful and CLEAN! Very modern and updated. Definitely check him out and visit his website.

amazing customer service for such an expensive thing (dental work) I find a lot of places like eye doctors and dentists to have poor customer service but as we left I almost cried. SO thankful for what you've done for us
