Great little liquor store Right off the Ocean Grove exit. Across from a motel.

Great selection friendly staff.

Come here a few times a month to come try the new and exciting drinks they come up with and food menu. Caitlin and Vinnie are usually the two that are there when we walk in. They always greet with a smile making you feel welcomed. Answering any questions we have. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good drink or two. Soon I'll have them make me whatever they're feeling. The drinks are that good.

I went into the location at 1132 S Jefferson to look for some bourbon for a gift. I don't drink so I needed some help. I met a young man by the name of Forrest who was very knowledgeable about what I was looking for. He showed me several different brands and explained to me who would be the audience to said brand. It was also like I was being schooled on a complicated subject that was simplified so I could understand the product. I would just like to thank Forrest for giving me GREAT customer service to help me not only find the right gift BUT make me feel good about spending my money on the two bottles of bourbon.

Bought a six pack of bud lite and it was pretty amazing10/10 Blind eye to all those highschool kids buying beer ;))

I'd give 10 stars if i could. This store does it right. All employees wear mask, helpful staff, polite, clean & have a huge selections. I'm an essential worker and going to the store can be tough. Great hours, safe parking & best experience

Old place. Has changed a lot since 1979 when I was a regular customer. Still friendly service.

Only liquor store open in Indiana around me on a Sunday. Nick’s liquor not open liqgo not open. So they have to be grandfathered in.

They always have the best choices in stock. I pass by at least a couple other franchises just to come to this place. The owner is super friendly and is always a great help, he only suggests the best products that fit your needs,

Good prices, good people, easy in and out

TL;DR Good place to get basics or things you know you like, not a good place to discover the best stuff out there. This location is convenient to a good grocery store and the staff are pleasant. I have really mixed feelings about this chain though. I find that if I'm looking for something specific this is a reasonable place to try to find it, but if I want to try something new you can end up with something that is just okay or actually not great. Milwaukee is blessed with a number of liquor stores that have carefully selected and edited stock, no bummers in the building (Ray's or Discount Liquor for a start). Proceed with caution.

I went to 5 stores to find Evan Williams eggnog. Finally, found it at Payless Liquors. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable & the store was neat & clean. Highly recommend

If I was the owner I'd be very concerned about the workers being able to do some simple math Let's see if anyone can get this right because they couldn't if I'm born in 1999 and it 2021 how old should I be ( both cashiers couldn't get it right)

At the SAQ in Sainte-Catherine-de-la-Jacques-Cartier, the advisers are always very friendly and you can find all the products we are looking for (which is not always the case elsewhere). This branch remains my first choice.
