Staff is changing a lot and staff is unhappy. Director bullies the elders. No real assistance for even the mildly cognitively impaired. Not recommended unless your loved one is truly independent.

My grandma lost all her jewelry while in care here...Because of dementia or staff, we will never know

I have worked there as a volunteer for 3 years. I have found the staff very effective and caring. The residents are active and pleasant to work with. A great experience.

I have lived at McCarthy Place for the last 4 1/2 years and get along very well. I enjoy the community, and getting along with others. Living here is a very busy and great life! There are many activities to chose to attend if I'd like to. The meals suit me. I enjoy how there are always plenty of choices, and if there is something I don't like I do not eat it. A while back my water heater was leaking and it was repaired promptly within hours of the same day. I am very impressed with the community, staffing and services McCarthy Place has to offer, and would recommend it to anyone.

Good caring people working their hardest for the Residents!

I use to work for them they put caretakers in deployable conditions having to clean peoples houses and bathrooms with human fecis on floor and toilet gross living conditions then when u complain about a client that shoves a cup in your face becouse you didnt know they did the dishes in dishwasher the night before so they lie to you and say theres no clients for months on end and then finally after months tell you to find another job not a good business I would never recommend them there horrible

Visited Strathmere for the time today for an office Christmas lunch. Lovely atmosphere with fireplaces and rustic decor. They even had a bonfire going outside for those willing to brave the cold. For the meal, soup and entree (chicken with mashed potatoes in a cranberry sauce) were amazing! But the dessert could have been better.

My Mother was diagnosed with Salmonella ,Feb. of this year and we nearly lost her as a result of complications with her illness. My Mother needed extra care and could not return to her own home or live unassisted. We found Dayspring through word of mouth at T.M.H.We had heard it was small and homey and very relaxed. It was exactally what my Mother needed. The staff are amazing and it's very evident that they love work that they do. They are emotionally invested in keeping the residents happy and comfortable. The prepared delicious and very nutritional meals. With yummy comfort food and new and interesting alternatives . Unfortunatly I wanted my Mother closer to me and I am a resident of London. Both my husband and I work full time and we have a child with special needs . It was just too difficult to travel back and forth. So we have had to move my Mother to another facility her in London. In the words of my Mother and I quote" if I had lots of money we would pick the whole place up and move it (everyone)to London."
