DEBRA a horrible staff member. Came up for a bachelorette and she’s was so rude and passive aggressive to all of us. Talking badly about the other staff members. We are paying guests and to have her yell at us and be a total b from hell made our experience not as pleasant as it should have been.

The rooms were nice and clean when we got there. We got a decent room for the price. Staff were nice and friendly

Fantastic place to camp. Decent sites. I have heard the fishing is good, (I don't fish). If doing other water sports the lake is pretty much open. There is usually one other boat than ours here.

Posting for a friend as She is currently dealing with the situation - I am getting frustrated just hearing what she has to put up with. Room was booked through Expedia, but cancelled just under 30 days in advance. Confirmation of cancellation obtained. Bank account shows that the charge went through. Had a hard time calling the hotel, owner hardly answers the phone. Finally got through - owner claims he never recieved a cancellation confirmation from Expedia so charge was put through I will add that he was very rude. He commented that he doesn't deal with Expedia anymore. *** why was she able to book the Rochester through Expedia then? Expedia was contacted. Rep confirms cancellation and that cancellation was relayed. Now Expedia is trying to get a hold of the Rochester on behalf of my friend. 24hrs later, THEY can not get through to the owner. My friend is going to go in person. Totally not something to have to deal with while on vacation!! I'm sure this situation will be rectified - but it should not have come to this.

Clean and good location. Rooms are very dated and in need of a refresh. Would be great if the price was lower.

Place was not up to coast standards. What hotel doesn’t have usb plug for devices or enough plugs in the wall. Air conditioner was loud. Restaurant attached was good

I found the golden sands to be by far the most comftorable and friendly place to stay in all of penticton . and for the record i have stayed in every hotel in this town . the next time i come to penticton the golden sands will have my reservation in advance so im guarunteed to be staying in the best motel in town 👌

The bed and breakfast is conveniently located by the lake, right by the beach. Rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable. The hostess always makes me feel welcomed and her dog is just the cutest. Everything you need away from home is available. There's parking by the building, bike rental connected to the building, and groceries within walking distance.

Excellent staff and location. The pool and BBQ area is probably the best on that side of Penticton. Our room was dated but everything worked as it should. Our only complaint would be the exhaust system for the BBQ area sometimes blew towards our room on the top floor.

The rooms are always clean, staff friendly, and reasonably priced. Nick the owner is very nice as well

Not horrible but hoping for more in the room. Location is excellent as across the street is entrance to tubing down the Skaha and very close to Museum and an Adventureland. Lots of parking which but no elevator to be found. Nice that it has 2 pools. Outdated and a bit expensive for what it is but workable

Excellent hotel to spend some days in Penticton. The restaurant has great food and the rooms are super clean. Beautiful gardens and friendly staff.

Spotless room, very pleasant and accomodating owners, wifi that works, excellent beds and pillows, all for a very reasonable price. Some noise in the night from the adjacent railway, which I personally find soothing. Great place to stay the night.

Amazing views from West Kelowna of the hillside and Okanagan Lake, great pool, and extremely friendly and kind family that runs the B&B. They recommended great places to see and things to do in Kelowna. They make great, fresh breakfasts with fruits, veggies, and jams that have come right from their garden! Definitely would stay again!
