It was a wonderful visit. Had some confusion finding parking but we figured it out pretty easily. The lobby is very nice and updated, and the staff were very kind and efficient. The hotel itself seems a little on the older side, but our room was very clean and updated nicely. The view of the water was just wonderful! We even left the door open for a little while before bed to listen to the water. I would definitely recommend staying at the Quey. :)

The desk people were rude so it let me enjoy a good old argument and when I got in the room after the $200$ deposit I can't get back I entered the room the smell was the best I ever smelt and loved the stains it gave the room a my home feeling and the tv was falling off the wall and the room key didn't work and the bathroom was amazing the toilet was full of poo and piss the shower had hair in it and the sink was dirty. When I went to bed I was very itching and when I woke up the bed bugs scratched my itches and the breakfast was burnt but the croissant was the best thing I ever tasted and when I was checking out I had another good argument and I felt the saddest I had ever been to check out now I have to my wife who is obsessed with cleaning. Happy Day Inn you were the best night stay of my life.

This hotel has everything going for it! Clean, minimal design, wonderful hosts, convenient location, the Kitchen restaurant and a 24-hr gym next door, QUIET, and delightful! You don't need anything else...

Great location for training athletes. Facilities are great, seem rather Olympic dorm style. Expect 1 ply toilet paper

We stayed at this hotel on 2 separate nights. The first night was in a King room. The room itself was smaller than expected but it was clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. The second time around we were in a Queen suite. This looked to be in the older part of the hotel. The décor was outdated. The AC unit squeaked and since it was located in the living room area, it was not sufficient to cool the bedroom. We found a small fan in the closet which was placed there for just this reason, I suspect. Also, the drapes didn't effectively block out the light and since this was summer, there was light in the room until past 9:30 PM. We had to be up for 4:00 AM to catch a flight - and as a result, we didn't get much sleep. However the room itself was clean, the prices were reasonable and the location was great.

There is no sign that says "Vancouver Backpacker House", just the address 7020 which is half hidden by the overgrown bushes in front of the house. It's in a residential area of Burnaby. There is no front desk. It very casual. The people checking me in were very nice people! They care for about 4 buildings so you may have to walk another 5minutes to your actual room. Room are basic. Very small cubic lockers located in the common area, morning the bedroom. The doors were never locked but there was always someone in the appartment. The appartment building's Doors were always locked but it's still low security. We were constantly scrounging for TP. It was a very quiet area and the other backpackers were also very friendly and quiet.

The hotel appears clean and has modern decor for its many rooms and amenities. I especially love the restaurants attached within the hotel, and the service is always excellent and warm. Although I did not stay at the hotel, it would be a lovely place to stay in Burnaby!

Stayed here for the first time. Great location! Reasonable rates and free parking. Very close to the sky train and bus transportation. Rooms are nice.

Loved loved this hotel. Easily accessible even if you are not driving like me. Ten minute walk to the nearby SkyTrain station which is only a 25 minute ride from Downtown Vancouver, superb location however not in the hustle and bustle of downtown if that’s what you prefer. Right next to a Tim Hortons and a Whole Foods supermarket, so food is always nearby, and hotel has its own restaurant which is pretty affordable and room service is quick. My room was a Queen with Jacuzzi bath and it was one of the cleanest rooms I’ve ever stayed in. Very spacious and nicely decorated - housekeeping also does a wonderful job. People at front desk are lovely and helpful - simply could not ask for a better hotel stay. When I return to Vancouver I am definitely staying here again!

I would give this hotel 0 stars if I could... it probably deserves a negative rating. I wasn’t allowed to check in until 9 pm which is ridiculous. Additionally, they tried to pass a sofa off as a sofa bed. No toiletries were provided (shampoo). Plus the rooms smelled horrendous (moldy), and the WiFi while unlimited was super slow.

A conference room was booked here for a graduation ceremony and luncheon. The food was great! Definitely happy with the event and would attend another event held here again.

Room was excellent, and did have a rubber duck as advertised! There was also a nice hot tub and Sauna available on site. Furthermore it's only a short walk to a millennium line Skytrain station which makes visiting downtown super easy!

Dump!!Dump!!!Dump!! These guys ‘renovate’ the floors, throw in a dollar store paint job and now charge $200 a night? This hotel is a complete gutter attempt and should be avoided by all. I’d give it zero stars. Way to think u can charge Vancouver prices for such a terrible offering.
