Granville Island Hotel
1253 Johnston St, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6H 3R9, Canada
Beautiful waterfront location on the quiet end of Granville Island, walking distance from anywhere you'd like to visit on the island, and central to Vancouver's Downtown, Fairview, and Kitsilano neighbourhoods. Ample parking. Highlights: friendly and effective staff, quality food, quality service, interesting building conversion / architecture. The indoor/outdoor waterfront restaurant and bar was impressive for its menu, quality of food, size and aesthetic....one of the nicest patios in Vancouver, in my opinion. Expensive hotel (we paid $350/night) for the quality of the furnishings in the rooms, but the price reflected the location, large room size, comfortable beds, beautiful views, etc. Highly recommended. Even if you don't stay, visit the restaurant :)

Seagrass Guesthouse
1867 Osprey Rd, Tsawwassen, British Columbia, V4M 0A8, Canada
Very comfortable, quiet and clean place. The owners provide an amazing, cooked breakfast. A boardwalk located within a short walking distance from the guesthouse provides a great opportunity to enjoy tidal salt marshes stretching along the shoreline.
Abercorn Inn Vancouver Airport
9260 Bridgeport Rd, Richmond, British Columbia, V6X 1S1, Canada
We flew into Vancouver Airport late Friday night and on route we scrambled to book a hotel room since there were no connector flights to Victoria at that time. What a gong show! Forgot it was a long weekend because we were soaking up the sun in Honduras and welcome home… Almost every hotel in the Richmond/ Airport area was about $250 and up, and availability— Don’t even get us started. We just just wanted a place to crash so we could get up and hop the ferry.
Enter the Abercorn Inn
We’re not going to lie, we chose the Abercorn Inn because of the price. It was $175 for the night and that included a buffet breakfast. We didn’t care as much about the breakfast as we did the room being under $200, we just wanted a bed. The pictures of the Abercorn, that we saw online, weren’t great but the price spoke so we booked. And we are super glad we did.
First there is a complimentary shuttle bus that picks up at the airport every half hour. We were worried that it wouldn’t be running at 11pm, but to our surprise and delight it was. The bus was shared with the Hampton Inn and it really clean and the driver was extremely friendly.
Upon arriving at the Abercorn, the front desk gentleman was nice and got us our room really quickly. This is a really good thing when you’re an exhausted traveller, nothing can make check-in go bad fast than bad service. The front reception area was nice and clean, has a complimentary taxi phone and comfortable seating available if you had to wait.
Our room had a King size bed and it was crazy-comfortable. Slept like a baby all night! The room was really clean, there was a coffee machine, a mini fridge and of course the T.V. The décor was warm and inviting and it was a great value for the price. The bathroom was big and bright and again super clean. It had a humungous bath tub with a shower in it. A person with mobility issues may not love that as it does require being able to step in quite high. Our only complaint would be that the air conditioning unit was a little on the noisy side and required a little tap there and again to get it to quiet down.
The breakfast was delicious and even though there were a ton of people eating they didn’t really run out of anything for more than a couple of minutes. The fresh stuff just kept coming and there were plenty of staff around to assist and clean up.
All in all we were really happy with the Abercorn and we really appreciated that they are not afraid to employ staff. A hotel that employs people instead of running a skeleton crew to save a buck is beginning to be a rare thing. So good job Abercorn, we usually stay at the Travelodge but you will likely be our new go-to place to stay the next time we’re in town. Much more value for the price and when you travel a lot like us that’s what you want.

Don't expect a lot. It's clean and quiet and affordable. Get your own bathroom. Don't go when it's hot outside, the fans don't help alot. We only stayed one night, so that was doable.
Rosellen Suites At Stanley Park
2030 Barclay St, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6G 1L5, Canada
Fantastic location, wonderful hospitality, clean, bright rooms, and very well set up for families. Ted and Ken will take very good care of you and have lots of sight-seeing advice. Close to grocery stores so you can take advantage of the kitchen. A wide range of dining options nearby. Walking distance to the beach and shopping on Robson St. Pay-per- day off street parking is a huge bonus if you have a rental car.
English Bay Hotel

The found the location to be good. The beach is a 3 mins walk. There are a lot if restaurants on the road, and I believe there are two restaurants on the same building. One of them opens till late. The room is spacious, and was better than I expected the room I got had a kitchen with the basic cooking utensils available. The road outside was quite at night.
Best Western Plus Sands
1755 Davie St, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6G 1W5, Canada
I attended this Best Western Plus Sands Hotel location as part of a conference put together by a local Chapter. Their choice of facility exceeded the expectations of every participant I spoke to. The location is extremely well placed, as it provided easy walking access to many interesting sites within the West End. The hotel was only short walk away from enjoying the relaxing settings within Stanley Park, and the lively beaches in the vicinity. The overall hotel amenities and rooms, their friendly and helpful staff, along the cleanliness of the hotel were excellent. Definitely recommend this Best Western Plus Sands Hotel location for anyone wanting to enjoy the local area while travelling to or through the Vancouver.
The Hotel at River Rock
Richmond, British Columbia, V6X 3P8, Canada
I stayed at the River Rock for three nights, and it was nearly perfect. It was incredibly convenient to get there via the Skytrain; the station literally connects directly to the hotel. Check-in was a breeze, and the room was spacious and pretty modern. The only thing lacking for me was that there were no outlets on the nightstands. Despite being right in the flight path of landing jets, the room was quiet. WiFi was quick and easy to connect to. This might be bizarre to comment on, but the elevators are the fastest I've ever used. I never waited more than 10 seconds after pushing the button before one arrived, despite being on the 12th floor. Incredibly efficient!
Hampton Inn by Hilton Vancouver-Airport/Richmond

Staff struggles to understand and speak Engish.
Rooms are very small and don't even have dressers or closets.
Hotel lobby, elevators and hallways are very warm in the Summer. My room temp and air was set at 78.
Front desk is not welcoming or helpful.
I do not recommend this hotel.
Days Inn by Wyndham Vancouver Airport
2840 Sexsmith Rd, Richmond, British Columbia, V6X 2H3, Canada
Pretty sketchy area. The staff is hard to understand and they do some weird deposit and refund process where you have to give them your card again at check out. I didn't end up with any extra or fraudulent charges though. The room was fine.
Coast Vancouver Airport Hotel
1041 SW Marine Dr, Vancouver, British Columbia, V6P 6L6, Canada
The reason I chose this hotel because of the price with the breakfast included compared to other hotels. However, I am disappointed on the complementary breakfast. I was not expecting a $30 food and beverage voucher for white spot and we are a family of 3 so it's $10 per person. I paid $8 more, i know it sounds cheap price but it would be nice if it this information was included in your ad or you informed your guest when the booked was confirmed. If I would have known, it is cheaper to get only the room and I will pay for our breakfast. Or if there is only a menu for hotel guests only complementary breakfast menu...
For the location, it is a great location to YVR..
La Quinta Inn Vancouver Airport
8640 Alexandra Rd, Richmond, British Columbia, V6X 1C4, Canada
Staff were very friendly on arrival. Unfortunately the property is undergoing renovations and the off gassing of paint is everywhere including our room which did not make for an enjoyable stay. Clean but outdated room. Understand renos need to be done but to have scaffold and painters in the lobby doing work early morning at the end of a long weekend is not good. Contractors should be doing major areas like this overnight so guests can get through and try to enjoy breakfast. Duty Manager was great at organizing a taxi after the hotel van became unavailable.
