Martial Arts

I've been attending this school for the last 5 years. Sensei Baldis is an amazing instructor and he has a great team of supporting instructors. When I first started, he told me-- "You don't have to be an Olympian to train like one." and that really resonated with me. Every class is challenging and requires real effort. I'm in good shape, and I'm still drenched in sweat after every class. Sensei Baldis teaches a combination of self-defense, competition kata and kumite (sparring), and actual application. It never feels like I'm just doing a silly move, but that I'm doing a move that has defined purpose. At 5 years into my training, I'm still a couple years away from reaching my black belt (and I'm pretty well on course for where I should be). If you are looking for a martial arts dojo that's impactful, effortful, rewarding, and challenging -- PSKC is for you.

APMAC is World Class! At 58 I have begun my TKD training and have been welcomed like all their students with integrity, enthusiasm, and a positive (infectious) attitude. All the staff are enormously gifted and superbly effective in their training skills. The students enjoy the vigorous, sometimes challenging, always rewarding training. As Bruce Lee said "Absorb what is useful, discard what is not, add what is uniquely your own" This is the place to train!

The best gym! I consider this place my 2nd home, I've been a member of many gyms over the years, all the big names and chain places and also trained other martial arts. I've never found a place that I never wanted to leave until I joined the fighting fit and started Krav Maga. The instructors are the best, the other members are very helpful, welcoming, and encouraging. I've made great friends here over the years as well. In short, I highly recommend The Fighting Fit!

The instructors at Oakmont Martial Arts are interested in each student and his or her personal development. There is very tangible passion for the art of taekwondo at this school. Self-defense, bullying prevention, and goals are being enforced every day. If you're looking for a martial arts home—one where you can reach your full potential—this is the dojhang for you.

FMA owners and teachers, Connie and Jeff Duncan have managed to provide a true family environment where students are treated like family. I started at K2, 14 years ago. I started as a child and know that going here gave me the tools to become more focused and more confident. Now, traing martial arts as an adult woman, I have a sense of safety. The jiujitsu and Brazilian jiujitsu had made me confident in my self defence abilities. Kickboxing is a fun way to stay in shape as well as learn to strike properly which I feel is an important life skill. The coaches I've had have all been amazing instructors that really care about their students. I still train under Renshi Scott, my first teacher, to this day.
