Sensei Michel a été champion mondial de karaté a New-York. Il connait son affaire. Une très bonne école pour les jeunes. Ca aide beaucoup a leurs discipline et concentration. Ils apprennent l'auto-défense, les techniques, les Kata, la lutte. Les assistants sont excellents avec les plus jeunes. En plus, sur vos impôts, vous avez droit a un crédit du gouvernement de 1000$ a la fin de l'année. La karatéthèque vous remet un reçu a la fin de l'année...

When trying to find a gym, I tend to look out for five main factors; instruction, training partners, overall gym attitude, gym cleanliness, and cost. And on all points, Evolution meets and exceeds the quality I would hope for. This is the best BJJ school I've ever trained at. The instructors are talented and skilled grapplers, but are also capable of expressing to students the proper execution of technique down to finer details. Further, they genuinely care that you get the technique right and will put the time that you need into helping you. The training partners for the most part have a great outlook; people are there to improve themselves and their skills, not to try to kill each other. That doesn't mean you won't get tough rounds in if that's what you're looking for, but you generally feel safe that most people aren't going to try to rip your arm off. The overall attitude is so refreshing, as people are very welcoming and are there to have fun and grow together. If you ask someone a question, across the board you'll have them do their best to answer and help you. Further, it's not a "traditional" BJJ school in the sense that you're bowing and scraping and saying "yes sensei" "no sensei" and being chastised for "not showing proper respect," but it's also not so laid back that people show DO show disrespect. It's a very balanced, comfortable environment. Finally, for all those qualities, it's clean and also totally reasonably priced !! It's the best gym I've been to, and it's been by far my favourite thing about Ottawa for the year that I've been here. I cannot recommend this school enough.

MMA DoJo located on Center ave in West View, Awesome instruction, great training and great people. They have kids, teen and adult classes, with fitness conditioning and MMA training.

Not considered a legit martial art from the orient. This is a made up sport. Maybe good exercise and may teach you how to fight but that is the extent

When I walked through the doors of K2 martial arts Ottawa, I weighed a staggering 270 pounds and smoked two packs a day. I needed a change. I enrolled in the Traditional Jiu-Jitsu/ Krav Maga and cage fitness program. Six years later all is history. Since then, I have received my advanced brown belt in Krav Maga and I'm currently working towards my black belt. Over time I've tried the many programs that K2 had to offer. With many years spent training in the kickboxing program, I currently have a gold level 5. With a fantastic Kickboxing coach like Alain Moussi (Kickboxer Vengence, Retalliation, Hollywood movie star), you can't go wrong. I've been a part of the BJJ program @ K2 for many years, which I currently have a blue belt with two stripes. Most recently, with the amazing coaching of BJJ black belts Scott Fitzpatrick, Aksell Nicolaides and Alain Moussi, I was able to place 3rd in Naga Worlds 2017 (New Jersey) and win a gold medal in the Ontario Open 2017 (Brampton) competing in the 190-pound division (weight loss of 80 pounds). K2 has always hosted great seminars with special guests like UFC's Matt Hughes and Tyrone Woodly. Other guests included Marcas Avalon (Kimura Trap System), Machado Family and many more. K2's BJJ program is under Carlos Machado, one of the highest ranked instructors in the world and the nephew of one of the founders of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. I can't recommend K2 enough! The atmosphere is always welcoming and enjoyable. The instructors are very helpful, sincere, and knowledgeable. If you want the best Martial Arts Training available in Canada's Capital I would Recommend K2martial arts Ottawa. For the review haters. K2 can help you become the best you could possibly be.
