My kids have been training for many years and were sad to leave our old gym when we moved to Katy. After going to dozens of gyms (literally like 20 as there are tons here) we gladly choose this gym and are very happy here. They do not have the biggest fanciest facilities but they are more than adequate. The teachers are excellent and care to help all students advance. We have had many instructors come before or after to personally assist my kids with new techniques and forms. This gym cares that all students improve and don't just get belts and awards for nothing. There are many different classes and times. We are very glad to have found this taekwondo school and that my kids can actually defend themselves and not just get a belt.

One of the best instructors I've trained with! Also, super friendly guy who really loves his work. He is just as good with training youth because he makes everything fun and challenging.

I go here to work out and it is the best place ever to work out it has a ton of happiness but there is still discipline and respect. The owner Sifu Whitt Mclendon is a great teacher who is always there to help. If you are looking for a Kung Fu place to go to come here. Sensei Paul is also a teacher there who teaches the Brazilian jujitsu class. Hope you like it if you decide to go there I know I do.

I ended up at Katy BJJ after researching and attending some other academies in the Katy area. I was looking for a team that was inviting and welcoming for my 5 year old son and myself to train Jiu Jitsu. Other schools in the area had failed to deliver on this, but my first day at Katy BJJ, I knew instantly that it was the place where we belonged. My son is extremely shy, so it was very important for me to find an instructor that would show him patience. Ben has been nothing short of amazing in the way he has taught not only my son, but all of the children under his instruction. The level of confidence my son has gained in a couple of short months is incredible. As for the adult classes, I couldn’t ask for a better group of people. Everyone has been extremely friendly and helpful. Every single person there has taken the time to teach me and help me progress. When you first start BJJ it can be a struggle as you aren’t familiar with the art, but I know that some day my Jiu Jitsu will be good simply because I have such a great team to train with day in and day out. A team that wants to see everyone succeed and better themselves. I feel extremely fortunate to have come across Katy BJJ and hope to spend my entire BJJ career here and earn my black belt under Ben’s guidance. I hope this review helps persuade you to make the same life changing decision.

Sensei Micheal is a wonderful instructor. I was almost out of options for my youngest son until I found this sign that answered all my prayers. Karate has been very beneficial to my son. He was having a hard time finding out what he was into. We did football and baseball he really didn't care for it to much. But, we found his calling. I'm impressed with all that he has learned in such a short period of time. I really enjoy the homework assignments we get. It really brings us closer as a family. I'm overall happy and excited about my son's progress. I would highly recommend Sensei Micheal and his great karate class to any parent and child looking into the karate experience.

I went to the Women's seminar and was amazed at how much I learned so I started taking the Women's Self Defense classes. I've been going about a month and every class teaches me something new. The instructor is patient and knowledgeable. He doesn't baby you but he doesn't make you feel like an idiot either. Lol I was really nervous before I started because I couldn't convince any girlfriends to go with me and it's way out of my comfort zone but I'm so glad I tried it! I won't be missing a class anytime soon!
