This is my favorite aikido dojo I have encountered over the years. Training here is so much better than just going to the gym to run the treadmill or lifting some weights. Aikido training gives me a great workout while learning a martial art. Sensei Jan Pop is very caring and puts a lot of attention into instructing his students. I've been studying here with my kids for about a year and it has been very enjoyable. My one younger child attends the kids class, while I attend the older class with my daughter. Everyone is taught at their own pace. For the beginners he is very good at emphasizing the basics especially learning ukemi (falling techniques), so everyone can perform the techniques with a high degree of safety. For the more advance students he covers a variety of advanced techniques along with adding finesse to more basic ones. Whether your goal is to exercise, learn a martial art, or spend additional family time with your kids, Academics Aikido is highly recommended in my book!

My wife Kelly and I came to AMAC as 2nd degree black belts feeling that we were missing something in our training. Thanks to both Debbie and Dan Lovas we both won UWTA National Championships and attained the rank of 4th degree. Also, thanks to their mentorship we have moved forward as school owners ourselves. We would recommend them to any one wanting to better themselves personally, mentally and spiritually.

The instructor of Tae Kwon do is very good at his job. He loves kids and diciplines them to listen and be responsible. Recomend it for anybody.

After 20 years and some time off from Tae Kwon Do, I've come full-circle back to training with Master Reeves. It was one of the wisest decisions I've made as a "senior"! Master Reeves understands my physical issues (which seem to vary from class to class) and tailors my training to get the best out of myself. I strongly recommend Reeves Martial Arts to everyone from kids to adults!

I have 3 young girls and ive been looking for a good activity to put them in to build up their conference and make sure they can defend themselves. This class has been a God send they look forward to going every day putting on their uniforms and belts. And if your a mom like me and don't know anything about karate the teachers will take all the time in the world with you i must ask sensei Michael 1000 questions a class and he always spends that time with me to make feel like I know what's going on. And lady tgey also have a great abult program that includes karate and Zumba but be warned it is a work out come ready to swear. I love this place I love these guys.

Im very new to bjj but have been blessed to have trained on 2 continents with guys/gals from US, UK, china, japan, korean, and sweden. I feel more blessed to have found gb costa mesa! amazing folks to train with, grind with, and laugh with after a hard session. I appreciate all my partners and would recommend not only bjj to everyone, but bjj at GB costa mesa. go train.

It's a great martial arts school and Master Dang Thang Phong is a fantastic instructor/Sensei with unlimited knowledge of Aikido and many other forms of martial arts.
