My son loved this Studio! The owner is the real deal! It is the first authentic studio we had been to. It is not a fake martial arts studio that tries to rip you off. And parents you will laugh!! The owner is hillarious! He is serious and at the same time so funny with the kids!! We had to move, I am sad we can't go anymore. Much Love and Luck here.

All of the instructors are helpful regardless of your skill level. The kids class is a great place to build life skills.

I travel to Virginia Beach fairly often and I'm flippin' happy I've found East Side. I stopped in the other night to check them out and Jose was great! He was very technical and spent time with everyone, fixing what needed fixing. The other students were great and very welcoming. I look forward to dropping in again!

Great staff

In the short time my daughter has been enrolled in Joonbi Taekwondo, she has made great leaps in her levels of confidence and self-discipline. The staff is very friendly and patient with everyone. I would recommend Joonbi to anyone.

The best Instruction and the most qualified TKD school in the area. Grand Master K. H. Lee is very qualified to teach children and adults in TKD, hand to hand combat, kickboxing and many other methods. Great school! (13+ year Student)

This is a great place to train with many amazing people to train with. It is very much a family style environment. I've been training here sense October 2016 and I find myself liking it so much that I am training 3 nights a week.

This studio is an amazing studio I have been dancing with them since I was 4 or 5 years old. They have very qualified teachers and I have grown so much as a dancer over the past years.

Joining Bushin Martial Arts Academy was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I had never practiced a martial art before or done anything athletic for that matter, I started by trying Gracie University at home with my sister as a training partner and we loved it. She suggested we go check out the local Gracie Certified Training Center. She had attended one of their Women Empowered Seminars and really liked it. I struggle with social anxiety so I was really reluctant, but I went along with her anyway. I'm so glad I did. The facility is extremely clean. The people are super nice and welcoming. John is an excellent instructor. He makes learning Jiu-Jitsu fun and easy. He is always willing to take the extra time to help you if you are struggling a bit with a technique. After every class, even if it was a difficult technique, I walk out of the dojo with a sense of accomplishment. I feel more confident in my every day life as well. If you are looking for a school that will train you to be a BJJ tournament champion or a place to show off how tough you are, then this may not be the place for you. If you are looking for a school that will teach you to defend yourself, help you feel more confident, and make some great friends in the process, then this would be the place for you.
