Martial Arts

Currently enrolled in both the Krav maga Self Defense class and the Kick30 Kickboxing Course and plan to continue for some time to come. The facility takes the time to assess everyone's abilities from beginner to expert and adjust your training. After just a month and I can see excessive results from more energy, technique, and increased self confidence.

Roanoke Taekwondo America has something for my entire family - skilled training, cardio workouts, opportunities for leadership, growth in our self-confidence, and friends. The family-friendly atmosphere and superb staff make this one of our family's favorite places to be.

Our son is in the black belt program and absolutely loves it. Great instructors, fun classes and so much more than learning karate moves. He is learning how to be responsible and commited to achieving personal goals.

Started a little over a month ago and I love it! The classes there are truly for EVERY age and fitness level. I look forward to going to class because I learn something new about the art of Krav maga and myself each and every class. The classes build confidence and strength while the instructors are super approachable and make the class fun. Bryan and John do a fantastic job of breaking down each move into manageable steps along with telling you why proper form is to your advantage. Any hesitation about joining this class went away after my first class - I was hooked. It's a great way to get in shape and learn how to defend yourself in a protected environment with great instructors. Top notch!

Great instructors with a knack for encouraging and inspiring young students. Advancement is based on achievement and demonstrated skill. Kids have a blast and learn valuable life skills like honesty, integrity and perseverance along the way.

I am really impressed with the quality of training and the family environment within the dojo.

Master Elliott is great with kids! My 6 year old did 8 months in another school before and he learned nothing. In the first two months with Master Elliott, not only he started following the discipline and understood what he was doing, he actually started loving the art and practicing even when he was home! He has been in this school for a year now and it was the best choice I could've made! Thank you, Sir, for all the passion you put in it!!

master Thomas is the best teacher I've met he always take time to help you if your looking for a good Dojo American Freestyle Karate is the best you'll find 😆

Great staff , super knowledgeable ! Recommend to anyone. ( Nouy was excellent )

Love it

As a current student of the dojo, I love the Sensei. I have been training with him a long time and admire and look up to him. He is good with kids of all ages. I am a shy kid but Kyoshi Rivas has helped me overcome my issues with dealing with people. I am stronger and better because of him.
