Martial Arts

I have been training in Martial Arts for over 8 years. I have trained at many different schools and got to know many different instructors. By far, Master Chung at Washington Black Belt Academy has been the absolute best professional instructor I have had the pleasure of getting to know. Washington Black Belt Academy is a life skills based school, and it's number one priority is to develop leadership and other life-improving qualities in it's students through martial arts training. The classes are very structured and the kids are all well disciplined. There are no kids running around goofing off like at a day care. This is a great school for adults and teens too, martial arts is a great way to relieve stress and get in shape! The service is excellent as well, as the staff and instructors take an exceptional amount of care in their students and make sure they are satisfied with their experience here. This is the first school I deem worthy of 5 star status.

Fantastic school, Sifu trains all levels at a pace tailored to the student, best if you bring a friend so you can learn together!

I wish I had 10 stars!! Master Ji's is amazing not only for kids but adults as well. I was able to participate and earn my black belt even at 60 years young. My Grandson and Daughter also attend, it is a great place for family's. It is not so much a business but a community, the kids respond to and love the discipline that comes with martial arts Master Ji in particular.

Fantastic! I worked out here for a year and a half until I had to move for work. You will learn self defense, build endurance, gain confidence, meet great people, have fun, and get in shape. It will be the best thing you've ever done!

Great training and a lot of experience. I brought my son in to work with some of the guys for sparring before his boxing competition and we got some great work and were treated well. I've known Mark for years and he has established a great environment at CCMA.

This is my first google review, or any online service review in that matter. I gave one star because I do not think the man who seems to be the karate coach (the mid-aged man who has a bald spot in the back of his head, judging from the google photos) is capable of interacting with kids. I am morbidly shocked by the attitude that he gave me just a moment ago when I was trying to avoid the rain by standing under their roof while waiting for my Uber. He came out of the door and asked me for my business, I told him kindly that I was there to dodge the rain while waiting for my car to arrive. He then rudely asked me to get out of the property. “There are little kids coming in, little kids, man, little kids.” As he offensively guided me all the way on the street, he kept repeating “little kids” for at least a dozen time. It was so shockingly upsetting how he acted with no manner and rushed in treating me as a child molester out of nowhere. I have never been treated with such disrespect. I am a cancer survivor who studies nursing and dedicated to become an pediatric oncology nurse, it worries me greatly to see someone so offensive and rude is interacting with children and adolescents on a daily basis. The way he speaks about “little kids” was very unsettling. If I were a parent, I would not trust my kids with this man.

Definitely recommend this center, great teachers and team mates!

My 8 and 11 yo boys have been going to Kukki TaeKwonDo for over 1.5 year now and I am very happy about it. Master Park looked quite strict and intimidating at first, but he is actually a great teacher with a sense of humor, and kids seem to have lots of fun during the class while learning TaeKwonDo, get plenty of exercise and learn about discipline and respect. I would highly recommend this place. After-school program, especially the piano lesson, is also a really nice bonus.
