I have used the training blades, sticks and wooden training weapons made by Tiger Mountain Woodcrafts for more than 20 years. In that time I had only one handle come apart, and Ken fixed it for me on the spot free of charge. Ken Koenig is a skilled metal and wood craftsman that does beautiful work and selects his materials carefully. A retired police inspector, he also has detailed knowledge of the regulations and specifications for impact weapons used by various state, federal and local law enforcement agencies. Perhaps what draws me most to his business is that he is also a martial artist with decades of experience. When he designs training weapons he considers the balance of the original. This is a particular challenge in training blades, which need to withstand the pounding of daily training but still retain the balance of the original steel blade. Ken works a lot with a particular tempered aluminum alloy. It will not spark, so I don't have to worry about eye protection. Yet it is light and durable. I have an espada 'y daga set made as a replica of the one use by Guro Dan Inosanto. Because I'm a much bigger guy I had him customize it to be a few inches longer than the original. It turned out beautifully and is nicely balanced. Ken Koenig is also a man of honesty and integrity and dependability. A handshake agreement from Ken Koenig is worth more to me than most other people's contracts. I recommend this business with my highest rating.

Tip top.The instructor and his young helper (I think his Son) are obviously very knowledgeable and skilled in this Art. They also work well with new students and help them fit in.

We signed up our daughter here, and have been continuously impressed. The coaches are excellent; if you want your child/ children to learn self defense, discipline, self respect, and respect for others, then this place is well worth your time!

My 3 kids, my husband, and I have been students of Master Todd's for over 4 years. I cannot recommend his classes highly enough. His classes are fun, informational, and may one day save your life! We take his taekwondo, hapkido, and kickboxing classes. We joined as a family and have progressed as a family. I think it's wonderful to have something the whole family can do together if they want, instead of the parents always being on the sidelines. It's fun to watch my husband and boys practice their lessons at home on each other. Under his instruction, my teenage boys have attained multiple black belts and competed at the national level, and both have ranked top 5 in the nation. Of course competition is not mandatory, my daughter just enjoys the classes. Personally, as I approach 50, I always worry about injury, but in 4 years of attending his classes I have never been hurt, sore yes, injured-no. I've also lost 25 pounds! Master Todd stresses the 5 tenets of martial arts in all his classes: courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, and indomitable spirit. Instilling these traits in young people will help them succeed in all areas of life.
