Martial Arts

Signed up on a groupon and my kids only received a few lessons before they closed. No heads up, no refund. My children were very disappointed to show up to a locked door. Just terrible...

Great

Cho's has been a great experience for our son and it has been a pleasure working with all of the Cho's staff. We would highly recommend Cho's to anyone looking for a Taekwondo studio. Great family atmosphere.

I dropped in and trained on a Saturday at an open mat with my brother at Mavin BJJ. Had a great time and even had the privilege of rolling with Professor James Quan, who also took some extra time to help me with some specific techniques. I really appreciated the hospitality, no drama just jiu jitsu. I recommend anyone in north Houston looking to train give Mavin BJJ a try.

highly recommended, &teach very nicely(awesome teachers).

This place is NOT honest. As you can see, K. Berry who WORKS there, who acts like she owns the place, has given THREE five star reviews, G. Coleman who also works there did it too, and the owner also did it. I've posted several reviews here only to have them removed. I decided to put three stars to see if it will stay. I used to work at this place. They pay Google to keep only good reviews!!! HUGE turnaround. Please see my review on YELP. Yelp does not allow businesses to pay to have reviews removed like Google allows. If this company did not make parents sign contracts, people would NOT stay. They get you to sign and then nickel and dime you to death! People are afraid to post bad reviews. Hopefully, this review will not be removed. I'm not afraid anymore. Kim Berry is very intimidating!

Amazing Martial Arts School, Daycare program and Staff. My Son loves going to classes and daycare program is wonderful, helping kids with homework, I have seen a lot improvement in Son in so many ways. Highly Recommended.

My son absolutely loves his Taekwondo class! He is your typical super-hyper, super-active 7 year old boy and Master White and the other instructors are extremely patient with him while appropriately and adequately challenging him and he is succeeding in a Big Way at Big Sky. The environment is very family oriented and there is an air of cooperation where the experienced students assist the newer students that is as refreshing as it is beneficial. I highly recommend Big Sky!

Probably the best place around to learn different forms of MMA. They have individual classes for Boxing, Wrestling, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, and MMA. Plus, they're good, cool people. They have two locations not far from each other.

After a sad departure from an amazing academy due to a job relocation, I found myself in search of a new Jiujitsu home in a new state. I was ready and wanted training that matched the elite level of instruction I was already recieving. I also wanted an academy with females that actually train. Upon trying out numerous academies in the DFW metroplex I felt disappointed and broken hearted and was very close to putting BJJ to the side for a while. After a friend referral, I decided to give it another chance. Upon walking into Cobra BJJ I was greeted by THE world champion female blackbelt Monique Ricardo. As it got closer to class time more ladies came in, they put on their gi's, and actually trained with me. (including Monique) Each one of these ladies were super tough and used amazing technique. The class itself was structured /professional and I actually learned something applicable to making my game better. Leaving the class that night left me feeling like you're supposed to feel after a tough BJJ class and I have never looked back. Each time I show up I get better. On and off the mat. From my experience this is the best school in the metroplex. I would tell you to save yourself some time and disappointment and just come here first. Especially if you are a female in search of an academy with other females who train hard and you take your training serious. 👌
