Optometrist

First time customer and new to Kingston. Extremely helpful and friendly, even though I was looking for assistance with glasses I had bought from a different location. He fixed it up in a jiffy! Would trust this place if ever I needed new lenses again.

Trusting Focus Eye Center & Dr. Cheung was the biggest mistake I have ever made in 60 years. I am a pilot that can no longer fly and a contractor with greatly reduced capabilities. Huge mistake!!!!!!!!!!

Had the surgery 12 years ago and my eyes are still great! Wear cheaters occasionally when lighting is bad but distance is still as good. Couldn't be happier.

Listen, I LOVE Loblaws. Have never had anything but fantastic experiences with the company. UNTIL TODAY. The woman working in Optical was so unhelpful, so rude, and has had me fired up for hours. I can't stop thinking about her. I won't ever buy from this place. If you like rude and nasty, go here! If you want to be treated well, avoid this optical service. The rest of the store -- and staff -- here are fantastic, but don't step foot in the optical.

I had the worst experience here when I got contacts. When I got glasses it was okay staff was nice but the older Dr when I got contacts was rude! I have never had glasses nor contacts in my life glasses I like contacts I can't even wear. I wasted over 100$ on them. Both exams he rushed me said look here and here ok your good I wasn't able to ask questions about anything made me feel really uncomfortable during the contact process. I went back the next day because they felt weird in my eyes I was told that was normal that i would get use to them and my vision seemed off the Dr said that's normals you just need to get use to them. I was adived to come back in a week for my check up to make sure they were good. I went about a week and a half later the Drs first words to me when I got in the room weren't you just here for this check up in a ride tone (my friend was in the chair right next to the door and heard it) I couldn't believe he said that I was embaressed I said no. As we go on with the check up he said everything looked good I advised I can feel then and the irritate my eyes he goes on to say contacts aren't for everyone . Then says I'll put a order in for two boxes. After my friend left I was amazed how that went I called and asked if I had to order my contacts through then I was told because I took the trial pair the day I came in for the exam that I had to order it through them. I was just amazed at this. I honestly will never go back and i have a couple friends whom have gone there and they didn't have a good experience and are not going back either. They care about making as much money they can off you then you and your concerns. I would give the Dr -10 rating.

I have never been so impressed with a staff or eye examination visit. I entered Campus Eyes as a stranger and left feeling as though I were family. The staff went out of their way to make me feel at home, and then worked together to help me choose the best possible frame for my face. Benny (the owner) played an integral part in this process, and provided me with an amazing deal for my contacts and glasses. It is clear that all three members of this staff are genuinely compassionate and honourable individuals, who care about the specific needs and concerns of each client. Thank you very much for this experience Campus Eyes!

Office receptionist is very rude. Would not recommend this location. There are other optometrists with friendly assistants.

Dr. Nancy Hopfner is one of the best Optometrist around. Professional Staff kind and courteous.

I've been a patient here for 20+ years. The staff are fantastic. Dr. McGaffey is a great guy who cares about his patients. Leslie is the best at helping you pick out frames and getting you the style you need.

Nice little store but seems unorganized and maybe uninformed or misleading. Shopping for prescription sunglasses, looking at Oakley's. The lady indicated that I would pay more for Oakley sunglasses as the lens' are unique, and that I should look at regular Oakley frames. Turned out that the sunglasses were actually about $100 cheaper then the regular frames, can't say why. I picked out an Oakley frame and lens (mirrored), was told about a 5 to 10 business day turn around, after 6 business days they contacted me telling me that my choice lens was on back order for 4 weeks and that they were the only lab in the region who performed this service. I reached out to another local eye wear provider who also sold Oakley and they informed me that there are in fact 12 labs in the region who complete this type of lens and that at least half could accommodate my required index. I had to cancel my order through Embrun Eyewear as I felt that I was misled in order for them to obtain an $800 sale. Even when I called to cancel it I was told again that it is a rare tint and again, it's the only lab, but when I challenged that she could not get off the phone quick enough. Ended up going with Embrun Optometry Clinic.
