Excellent service !

I made an appointment two weeks ago and arrived ½ hour early to my appt today. The office was closed until 11 because of a little snow. I made it in, but apparently the staff couldn't. Why not make a phone call to inform your clients? VERY poor service. I waited an hour and a half thinking that all appointments would be honored. No such thing and not even an apology - just a receptionist bounding off the walls with anxiety saying she'd have to reschedule and it would be out three weeks. Very unprofessional. Very poor service. Would not recommend this business to anyone - associated with Pearl Vision in Truro Mall.

I have read a few negative reviews here and I honestly feel that the negativity says more about the reviewers than about Dr. Gillam and his staff. My family and many extened family and friends have been going to Dr. Gillam for well over a decade and we have always had great service. Dr. Gillam has always been honest with me and we have never been pressured to get glasses; even when we need them. I have a mild astigmatism, that is helped with my glasses, and it changes every few years, but not enough that I necessarily need to get new glasses; unless I want some. The accusation about Norma trying to scam Blue Cross by direct-billing them for their portion is just a blatant example of defamation from a customer who seems to have had buyer's remorse and decided to try making an honest employee look bad for doing her job properly instead of taking responsibility for his own decisions. I highly recommend this office.

The staff at Reid optometry were amazing when I was trying to get my father a much needed prescription so he could have glasses in time for my mothers funeral service in just over a weeks time. They helped us in many more ways during the appointment itself as well. Excellent customer service and the optometrist was very thorough and answered all of my fathers questions as well. A man my fathers age knows good customer service (he is 81) and we were both thrilled with the experience we had here. Thank you!
