The staff know the personality of each pet and are, in a kind way not afraid to share any concern about any animal they feel would not be a good match and why. Having bred Collies and Shelties for many years and learned most of my breeding practices from a Setter Kennel, in BC as Irish Setters were the breed I adored as a teen. It was amazing being on the other end of what I did for years and helpful for us. We were given plenty of time with the cats they had at the time. They remain interested after you adopt an animal; answer questions, offer advice and love to know how your new family member is working out. The cherry on the sundae was discovering this shelter is a no-kill
Shelter, the only one of many I have been to. I would have no problem recommending this Shelter to anyone who would be a good home to an animal of their choice. Mr. Chips (alias Thatcher) is a valuable member of our family...a playful clown and an affectionate buddy and last, but not least, a remarkable mouser❣️
