My son attended here! Outstanding Christian based learning!

My son has attended The Goddard School for the past 3 years, and we've both loved every day of it. The Goddard School has an outstanding curriculum, which has expanded my son's knowledge of science, nature, history, reading, and on and on. My son will graduate Pre-K this week, and his entire class will be singing the 50 states song (he knows all 50 states, without missing a beat), Twinkle Twinkle Little Star in Spanish, and sign language. I can't say enough positive things about The Goddard School's owner, staff, and teachers. We're sad to leave, but know that my son will already be well beyond kindergarten standards, in every subject, when he begins elementary school next year.

Over the past 15 years I have been part of the Our Lady of Mount Carmel School community in many capacities. As a parent, volunteer, coach, teacher, military liaison, and now administrative staff member, I can attest to the positive impact OLMC has had on me and my family. Our lives have been enriched by the families and friends we've met and now hold dear, the teachers that have helped us to grow, and the Dominican Sisters that have blessed us in so many ways. As a military family who has moved our four children many times with many educational experiences along the way, my family and I hold OLMC School in the absolute highest regard!

Our 2 children have been at HRIMS for 3 years and we could not be happier with the staff, learning environment and the Montessori Method. You have to see it for yourself!

.My grandson had attended DBCS since K5 and is on 6th grade at this time. I am very happy with this school and he loves it. I hope he will have wonderful childhood memories to pass onto his children about DBCS.

My two grandchildren have attended this spectacular school for the past two years and I am proud to share that they are not only excelling in their studies (both are honors students), but they have found a renewed love for learning. The public school my grandson used to attend was so dreadful that he didn't want to go because the kids were out of control and the teachers were rude and the work was tradition and routine. Now, that he is at Star Pointe, he tells me how nice his teachers are and all the fun and challenging projects he completes. Plus, he loves all the field trips they take. He also enjoys his Computer Science and Engineering class, which he gets to take every day! My granddaughter loves going to high school at Star Pointe as well. She's spunky and full of life, but her previous school was boring and did not help her thrive as an honor student. I probably could write a book on the positive impacts this school has had on my grandchildren and other children who attend Star Pointe, but for now, I will simply close with this bit of advice: If you want more for your kid beyond most public and private schools then, you should consider Star Pointe Academy!

Warm and caring environment. The teachers teach kids how to learn in an interesting and engaging way. I only wish we joined sooner!

My sophomore year I was in all honors classes at a 3000 person public school, passing all my classes with A’s. I was on two varsity teams, but something wasn’t right. I took classes that their only goal was to prepare us for a standardized test that only seemed to evaluates the teachers’ ability to teach. Class sizes were large enough to the point where I was afraid to ask questions out of fear of looking stupid. Now, I go a school with small-individualized classes, where I can go to more in depth areas that are not on the Virginia standardized tests. The teachers are always there for you, and making sure you truly understand the content. The school hours are more individualized, so there is more time to get real life experience, such as volunteer work and internships. For example, I now have the time to go to George Washington University and do nanotechnology research in the afternoons after school. My next step is college, and I don’t think I could be more prepared.
