Long Beach Japanese Language School
1766 Seabright Ave, Long Beach, California, 90813, United States
I have been coming here since about 2001, all year around. I love the environment. There are 7 concurrent classes, three youth classes, 5 years old through middle school and 4 high school/adult classes. All the teachers are native Japanese speakers. You learn reading , writing, and speaking. While for me, it is a hobby, I have been making steady progress. The school is a part of the Long Beach Cultural Center which has other activities, ikebana, kendo, a senior group, etc which add cultural richness to the language.
Providence Christian School

My son wakes up every morning happy to go to Providence Christian School! There is constant approval and positive reinforcement. As a parent, I feel I can talk to any staff member of the school. PCS provides the best education and has given my son great opportunities in a Christian environment.
Providence is the best school in Merced. Thank You PCS.

Brighton Schools | Natoma Station Elementary
405 Natoma Station Dr, Folsom, California, 95630, United States
This is our first year at Brighton.......I am IMPRESSED so far with the entire staff AND the program! The school is quite quaint which my kids love. The classrooms are great in size, incredibly welcoming and set up nicely for each grade. The kids have an area for their books, backpacks and personal belongings without being crowded.
The teachers know all the kids since the number of kids is low(compared to public school!) It's nice that my son's 3rd grade teacher knows my daughter who is in 5th grade. All the staff, from the music, art and spanish teacher down to the fabulous, happy and very accommodating office staff are what make the school feel so cozy, warm and inviting.
The staff is trained for emergencies of all kinds, the front doors
remain locked and are unlocked by a parent with code access to keep our children safe! After all the horrible attacks at schools all over the country, that really makes me feel better. I have total confidence in these group of well informed, trained, and watchful staff.
As for the curriculum and program. YES!!! They are already doing homework and loving it because they feel the pride of doing their work and being rewarded for it. My kids WANT to learn because the environment is a perfect setting, their teachers ROCK, and they have new pencil sharpeners that somehow make reading and writing more fun!!! I think I can honestly say after only one week at school that "I'm not smarter than my 5th grader!"
I recommend enrolling your child at Brighton at Natoma Station. It's really a great school and the parents are awesome. Parents are big on helping out to make the experience of learning a social, fun and rewarding good time. Check it out.....I did and now I've got both my kids enrolled!!!

VBS Day School interweaves a top notch academic approach, with the arts, athletics, Judaics, science and technology. One of the components most meaningful to our children is that the importance of community service and the world around us is interwoven into class discussions, school projects and field trips. Our children are thriving at VBSDS and we can't recommend it highly enough.

Pulled my daughter mid-year in 5th grade after attending this school for 8 years. I was very disapointed in the way the teacher was handling bullying issues going on with my daughter. Now we are paying for tutoring because she was so far behind what they were doing in public school. GBM does faux standardized testing. I was told my daughter scored in the 98 percential. I never once was told she had any educational issues or there was anything we needed to work on. I wish we would have made the decision to leave after 3rd grade.
