As a BOY student who is at this "school" I can say that this place is terrible they force you two where black sweaters on certain days in a hot crowded building with 90 degree weather. They show "happiness" but give ice cold teachers/staff, boredom, and put you in detention for know good reason, also I think its ageist the law to teach religion as a subject but, they do because you have to search pretty specifically.

My son has always struggled in the classroom due to ADD. This school and the model it presents - one student to one teacher - has been the answer. It works. He actually enjoys learning and has the opportunity to have guided study to complete homework each day. This is a small school that gives a lot of attention to the details of how each student is progressing towards success. This school is less expensive than other schools that might be suitable for learning disability. We are very happy here and hope to complete high school at Halstrom.

A fantastic school! Our daughter was in the public school system and wasn't doing as well as she could. Classes were too big and she was not paid attention too. She has been going to Waldorf for 4 years now and she's thriving!! She's so happy and is learning all sorts of amazing skills, languages and making lots of friends! We love this school!!

Absolutely a great special education school. My son attends this school and is actually likely to graduate early. This is a Non public school alternative for special needs students and requires an IEP and placement from the home school district. This is a school for kids whose placement in a district based special education program has either been unsuccessful or problematic. Contrary to a previous review, the staff are caring and treat the students with respect. Some of the students have extreme special needs which requires the time out rooms or possibly hands on if a student becomes violent. The hall monitors are there for the student and staff safety. I have personally seen students bolt for the front door and staff having to run after them, that is why doors are locked. In addition the locked doors protect other students if one student becomes violent and stops the spead of that violence. In addition to a wonderful curriculum, they offer on and off site vocational education to aid in skill development and help with learning the skills for choices after graduation. This includes job search skills (interview and resume skills, how to look for a job), college prep and how to choose a school and advocate at the college level for assistive services, and skills through the vocational education. Staff is amazing and caring! Students can stay until they graduate even if they are in their 20's. My son has gained confidence in his abilities to ask for what he needs.

Solicit the gospel. I think that is extremely poor taste. I feel if people need to find God they know where to go and don't need a phone call trying g to persuading then to go to this church. They prey on the young for information and then call numerous times soliciting God. Tacky and shamefully ask for your money. No thank you.

My daughter just graduated from de Toledo and received a first class education in a nurturing and supportive environment. During her time there she was aided in her personal and educational development by a caring faculty and staff who view each student as the individual that they are. My wife and I are looking forward to our son attending and being part of the Class of 2022

Topanga Mountain School is an amazing place. They are the lean startup of the education world. The staff are incredibly professional and always refine and hone their teaching style and curriculum design. However, they are not myopically focused on academics in the way most schools in the area are. The time they spend outside camping, hiking, and exploring urban areas produces meaningful experiences.

This is a great school, great teachers. A few teachers don't have the best way of teaching, but they still manage to get students to pass their class. The faculty is nice. There is barely any homework, which is a good thing and a bad thing. Once 7th and 8th grade weren't allowed to do anything on the yard for over a month, even the kids that didn't get in trouble. And the faculty randomly seizes a student's iPad and goes through information like: photos, notes, passwords, usernames, email, and text messages. But all this hard work pays off. This school has the greatest parties and field trips. We have so much fun at the parties.
