Gig Harbor Academy offers our children a comprehensive education in not only the fundamental subjects but Art, Spanish, Music and a variety of extra curricular activities. It has encouraged their love of learning, while teaching them confidence in the classroom and beyond.

OCS provides child-centered education in a caring environment. My daughter thrives in Teacher Becky's class; learning at her level about science, nature, concern for her community and environment and more. We are so grateful to have found a place where she can explore and build her love of learning.

Lighthouse Christian School played a crucial role in my education and development. The curriculum, student relationships, and Christ-centered mission provided a holistic approach to education and set me up for success at a rigorous high school and later for college. I met my best friend at this school, and I maintain contact with the teachers who encouraged both my faith and academic curiosity. And I know this environment persists. Teachers truly seek the best for their students, whether that’s extra help after school, customized strategies for students with learning challenges, or accommodations for doctor’s appointments. I’d highly recommend this school for your child!

I love this school. My two children have been there for nearly 3 years. The small classes enable the teachers to spend lots of time with my kids one on one and cater for their individual needs. The school grounds and environment are beautiful and set the stage for a broad spectrum of personal and academic growth. The staff and families of the school are wonderful and ALWAYS have the children's best interests at heart. It really feels like a community. What I like best about the school though is that the children aren't pressured to reach certain bench marks of academic ability by a certain date. Therefor they are learning when they're ready and they enjoy it, and that self inspiration drives them to want to learn more. The school fosters and nurtures my children and it has helped them empower their own sense of self and their confidence to take on anything and see it through. Brilliant.

Olympia Christian school has small classes,a good academic curriculum, caring professional staff, practices Christian principles, has a good facility, all students participate in music program, and keeps parents informed.

While at Capitol Montessori, my daughter is excited to goto school each day. She talks highly of her teachers and her self-confidence couldn't be higher. I intent to send my son here when he old enough.

We love this school. We love that our daughter gets two hours of outdoor play a day and that the focuses in her kindergarten (and the preschool) are on movement, nature, play, imagination and social and emotional development. That time to develop social skills and mature emotionally are so crucial to later school success. We are looking forward to her going to first grade at a school that recognizes young children need to move their bodies, need exposure to music and art, need to start learning a language young (they start German in first grade), and that imagination and creativity are to be nurtured and not squashed if you want someone who can succeed later in life and cope well with the hurdles life throws at them. It is great that it goes from play-based preschool and kindergarten all the way to 8th grade.

Harbor Montessori School is a rare gem in our Gig Harbor Community. My children have received a robust education both scholastically and emotionally. They have had their passion for learning sparked by the amazing group of teachers who serve at Harbor Montessori. My daughter has moved from pre-school up through 6th grade and as a result is a well-rounded leader, confident learner and socially aware young lady. My son successfully completed 1st through 8th grade at HMS and is now a thriving Freshman at Bellarmine High School. I couldn't recommend HMS more highly. My kids' sense of their personal value in the world, as well as their academic success, is priceless.
