I use to love McDonald's as a kid but now i see more the customer service side. Everytime ive ever walked up to the receiving counter to ask for something i get completely ignored by the staff for a good five six minutes sometimes long. I understand they are very busy but they should at least acknowledge the customer to reassure them there going to be waited momentarily. I asked my other half if he has had this same issue and said no that he gets great service so maybe its a hit or miss. 😓

I bought a couple of small kitchen items for a project we're working on (a non-standard raclette grill). I told the clerk at time of purchase it was an experiment that I wasn't sure would work. That I'd be back later to return if not, and buy more it was successful. He said yes that was fine. The experiment failed, the items wouldn't do what we wanted. When I returned to Peacock Sales a different fellow, the owner or manager I believe, was operating the counter. In no uncertain terms informed me "they don't do returns", they're a wholesaler. I relayed the conversation his sales clerk and I had had, but he was adamant, and rude to boot. I was perfectly cordial throughout, though by the end close to losing my composure. Over the years I've only spent a few hundred dollars there, and this particular purchase was only $25 (though willing to go to $200 if the experiment had worked). However if "they're only a wholesaler" they shouldn't have sold to me in the first place, and certainly not under false pretenses. Don't shop here, they don't deserve your money. There's a for sale sign on the outside of the building, help them out by not buying anything, and thereby speeding up the sale through attrition (and perhaps providing prospective buyers a better price).
