On a beautiful sunny weekend morning in Vancouver, Burrard Roofing believes the one thing missing is ... their advertising. So for hours they buzz the city with an enormous banner ad dragging from a noisy airplane. People below are looking up and frowning at the intrusion, wondering who has decided to make everyone's day just a little less pleasant. The people next to me, from out of town, comment "I can't believe the city let's them do that." A local, on the other side, swears at the company. If Burrard Roofing has this little respect for the citizens of the city, one wonders how they treat their customers.

After torrential October rains, a bad leak started draining directly into my son's bedroom from somewhere on the rooftop deck. Desperate to have someone come out to take a look asap, Chris squeezed in a visit to our house the same day I called in. It took him all of 10 minutes to figure out where the water was coming in--through a hole near where the shingles cut into the deck railing. He suggested we fill the hole with foam spray (which I rushed out to buy at Home Depot) and low and behold no more leak! We are so thankful not only that Penfold's having a receptionist there to answer calls right away (no leaving messages and waiting for call-backs) and even more for Chris' same-day help. He was professional, courteous and really knew stuff. We are so happy and relieved to know the water is no longer coming in. Thank you Chris!

This is an excellent company to replace or fix your roof or gutters. My experience has shown, they are professional, roofing, gutter and drainage contractors, reasonably priced, careful around the home. They take their work seriously and deliver within budget, on time and on target.

Adding the word Quality to their business name is your first clue that this is a disreputable roofing company. Seeing their employees hack and saw and bash away at a roof like drunken toddlers makes you wonder if the company is owned by Red Green!

Affordable Quality Roofing is a great company, we had a new roof installed last month on our Triplex on Jones Ave. in North Vancouver. Terry was easy to work with and very knowledgeable. The crew that installed the roof were excellent. Highly recommend this company and would use them again.

Experienced roofers. Thanks for clean and timely well-done work.

I was happy with this company's roofing job ... until the drywall tunnel leading up to my new skylight got mouldy. It took awhile for Brad to even realize the tunnel should've been insulated, and he stopped replying to my emails when I suggested he should help fix it. Now this part of the job was apparently done off the books, leaving me no legal recourse, but it was done by his top roofer with Brad's knowledge and cooperation. They let me down and now I won't use Accurate again or recommend them to anyone.

Review of roof replacement by Penfolds Roofing - March 2015, East 16th street, North Vancouver. I had to get the roof replaced because the old roof has reached end of life. Had numerous companies in for quotes inclusive of the "fly by nights". Since dealing with the Penfolds Sales Manager, Jose de Freitas at Penfolds roofing everything was done in a very professional manner. He explained the roof replacement process thoroughly and clearly. I decided on the Penfolds Cedar Twin ULTRA-Scotch guard Cypress Black for the sloped roof and Residential Fast-N-Stick for the flat roof part. I also consulted with professional engineers and my homeowner insurance company who also recommended Penfolds roofing to me. The homeowner insurance company specifically mentioned to me the warranty program of Penfolds roofing. My decision making was definitely influenced by the Penfolds warranty underwritten by their insurers. None of the competing roofing companies had such a warranty system in place. From the time that the contract was signed I had communication with Penfolds. On Wed 3/4/2015 John Wiggins arrived and did a thorough site visit. The next day the crew under Gord arrived and the work commenced. I was very impressed with the professional manner in which the work was done and especially the quality tradesman ship with the metal work that was performed by Gord. Gord regularly communicated me with me and explained technical issues clearly, and also gave feedback on the progress of the install. I was very impressed with his skills and level of knowledge. The site was left very clean and the crew did a very good job with general housekeeping of the site in general (no nails/screws or any debris laying around). Michael completed the flashing on the torch on part of the roof. When a problem was experienced on Sunday 3/29/2015, a technician was dispatched immediately (arrived on the site 15 minutes after my phone call to Penfolds) and the issue was dealt with promptly. Mr. Ken Mayhew communicated regularly with me while the problem got fixed. It was clear that he had a "hands on approach" to the problem and I must commend him on the customer service. On Tuesday 03/31/2015 the job was completed and John Wiggins did a final inspection. He did a debriefing and answered all technical questions very thoroughly and clearly. I am happy with using Penfolds Roofing for my roof replacement project. I also believe you get what you pay for. There are 4 houses in the street where I live, which had roof replacements done in the last year by the same contractor. That contractor is out of business a year after these roofs were done - Penfolds have been doing roofs in Vancouver BC for 75 years. My neighbors who used the "cheap" contractor are now in a situation where there are no warranties except maybe from the manufacturer. The neighbor now have issues and repair work a year after installation is costing them a lot of money. I will not hesitate to recommend Penfolds roofing for any roof replacement work. Thanks to the Penfolds crew including Jose De Freitas, John Wiggins, Gord and his crew and Ken Mayhew, I sleep well at night knowing that when we get 50mm of rain during the night or strong winds, I do not need to worry. Thanks. PS. After this heavy rain season I am sure glad I got myself a Penfolds roof!!!

Be very careful of this company. They did a job on my neighbours house and mine back in 2012. They were very nice before the job started, during the job, then after they got paid we never heard from them again. We had a few issues come up from storms, wind damage, but after a few unreturned phone calls, we were informed they had closed down/switched into another business name. They sent over one man to "seal" something, and the issue was repaired temporarily, but after a few more wind storms there was a leak and when we called the new company there was no response, no call out, they wanted to charge $350 for an emergency repair call out plus the cost of repair. In the long run, we went with another company. Now in 2016 they are back to work as Laurentian Roofing, same employees, same owners. I know this because they are working on a roof near my work, and I was surprised to hear their name. They are apparently working as a subcontractor for another roofing company, and doing their own jobs (I had a conversation with one of their employees). I just wanted to warn the general public about this company. They disappeared in 2012 only to return in 2016, suddenly are BBB Accredited (which is a paid affiliation with BBB), and working back on roofs again. Something smells a bit funny.

On two occasions Nika roofing did a great job keeping us dry despite our old and soon to be replaced cedar shingle roof. They have given good and quick service at an affordable price.

Great service and quality work. Will provided an attentive service and had a good attitude.
