Shuttle & Taxi

Waited for a pre-arranged pick-up as part of a round trip. The bus did a quick u-turn before the designated spot and left, as if there weren't two of us waiting right there. Additionally, I had phoned the office no less than five times without an answer, but eventually managed to confirm which stop we would be at. I phoned again after we had been left on the curb, but the dispatcher refused to alert the driver to his mistake. By the time she finally agreed to do that, the bus had faded from sight. When I inquired about a refund, she flatly told me no. I then had to pay an additional twenty five dollars for a 12km cab ride. A distance I would have gladly walked if I hadn't overburdened myself under the expectation that the pre-paid bus would stop at its' designated stop. There is no star value that truly equates to how aggravated I am, so one will have to do. Thanks for ruining my day, Pam and Rob. It's a good thing I'm not a type one diabetic, left in a strange place without the means to maintain my health for an extended period... Oh, wait. I am.

its 12 in the afternoon and i cant get a taxi because u NEVER pick up phone or phones disconnected. i have been trying to get a taxi for over a week now.

A van smelled of fresh cigarette smoke. The driver admits to vaping in the work vehicle. Don was agressive with me when he called me. I am extremely disappointed. I hope this is a learning lesson and they can grow from this.

My family has been using this service for more than a few years now. When my parents flew into Toronto a couple of weeks ago, expecting to be picked up according to their reservation, there was no limo to bring them home. When we called the after hours line, we were told to get home any way we could and that our cost would be paid for. This was not the case. They did not take responsibility for the error or pay for the transportation to get home. It blows my mind that in a town as small as Kingston, that a business refuses to make it right with the customer. Word of mouth can be very damaging, and I can say that at least 20-50 people have been told about this. My entire extended family that uses this service multiple times each year to get to and from the airport will now use another company.

Calling Amey's always seems to be busy these days. The female operators are friendly, but I hate when the men answer the phones. They always sound dull and not friendly at all. Now with the major fare increase that recently happened I won't be taking taxies very often. It's now nearly $30 just traveling from Woodhaven to Kingston Center after paying for debit, extra person, and tip. The base fare is set way too high, $4.00 as soon as you step foot on the car, and the meter rolls alot faster while sitting at red lights. Absolutely ridiculous! It's just not worth it anymore. Since the changes took affect I've been using taxies only a couple times a month, unlike before where I was taking then a few times a week.

When I had to get to the hospital for my husband they were at my house in 10 minutes. And got me QUICKLY there.

Been using this service for years. Always on time and very respectful. Prices are best in town for frequent users.

Don't bother unless you don't really want to get where you're trying to go. We called A1 and after 25 minutes they never showed up. When I asked how long it would be until the cab came, I was told they didn't know and then they hung up on me. This is a sad excuse for a cab company both in their customer interaction and reliability.

They're the only ones I use!
